Tuesday:

I am attempting to start waking up earlier, shower and shave in the morning so I'm not constantly rushed. Woke up at 6:30 today, which is about 45 minutes earlier than my norm.

Soaked the shave soap/brush in hot water during the shower

During:
Merkur razor
TOBS sandal wood shave soap with the last sliver of col conk lime shave soap on top with a shot of glycerin
Simply basic badger brush
WTG and XTG + touch ups

Post:
Alum
Cold water rinse
Pinaud Clubman Aftershave Lotion
Pinaud Talc powder everywhere else

DFS and an interesting smell from the Lime/Sandalwood mix.

Feeling good, well rested and half way through the day. Ready for lunch time!

WOW! Today's face temps have reaches an all time low. KMF along with the Gillette lotion and OR = frigidness! I love it! 2 splashes of OR and I was in tears and my nose started running. The lady asked if I'd been crying lol. Awesome BBS shave today. Love menthol week. I have something different in store for tomorrow. Long Live The Rub!

 

Tuesday 08/22

Hot shower to get the day started
Facial prep with RazoRock, glycerin bar. Trying to decide which works better for facial prep pre-shave oil or a glycerin bar. I think the glycerin bar does better at moisturizing the face.
Today's featured brush; Vulfix 28
Soap choice; RazoRock Bee's Knees. A personal favorite from the RazoRock fine line of soaps.
Razor; Gillette Fatboy dialed to 6. The Fatboy is one of my top razors in my rotation. It took awhile to really like this razor, once mastered it has become a fav.
Blade; Big Ben {purple} Day three palm honed the blade, the shave was a comfortable.
Facial rinse, then a liberal splash of Superior 70
Three passes for an excellent DFS

Moving on to Day 4 with the same Feather blade and I am noticing some 'resistance' with the blade. Can I get five good days on a single Feather?

Another beautiful, BBS shave today with the Bolzano. Tomorrow I'll be moving on to the Treet Platinum, and doing the math to figure out how many more shaves I'd need to get from the Bolzano for its higher price to be warranted.

A very easy shave. Two passes and light buffing and I am done.

Those who use Osage Rub...refrigerate it overnight and put it in the freezer while you shower and shave and once you come out of the bathroom splash it on...you'll be in tears.

I left the Noxzema on after the face wash as a pre-shave treatment while I lathered up the Proraso. The shave was excellent. For the third pass, I broke out the Shark that had 20 shaves on it already. I finished up with the Shark. It was an incredible ride. I retired the Shark after the shave.​

Sorry, didn't have time to snap a pic this morning as I was phoned at 4am to get my backside to work because the network seemed to fall into a black hole - or something or other. Now that I have it fixed and can relax, here's today!

I think I'll have to gracefully retire the Feather, it's already been through 5 days of face shaving, and 2 days of head shaving. Tomorrow I'll give the Shark Super Chrome a shot and see how they work, hopefully just as good because they are oh so much cheaper than Feathers.

Day 5 with the stainy colored 7 Oclock blade, still slicin' fine. Expecting some pull tomorrow, so I have my backup vintage merkur slant loaded with a new Rapira stainless on deck! I feel a second of pull, I'm going to my backup bat mobile! Man I love these razors!
