Decended to go with Lisa's Natural today in celebration of her new soap formula that was recently released, although this is the original soap formula. Whipped up a thick abundunt lather with ease. Scent is fairly strong pathouli forward with sandalwood background that smells lovely. Shave went well, although did end up with some irritation which hopefully the balm will rectify. Hope everyone has a wonderful shave and a safe weekend!

Tonight's shave was with a French Beauty. I had a great 2 pass shave, that went smooth as silk, and left me BDBS. Zero issues. These French razors are usually very well made, and a bargain.

Razor- Leon Pellaray. Paris France.
Brush- JR#262, Birdseye Maple and Ebony. WD Silvertip Badger knot.
Soap- Arko/Sandalwood scented
Aftershave- Shulton Old Spice. Lighthouse Decanter.

Refreshing and relaxing. There’s nothing else to say except that I expect nothing less than a great BBS shave from the Karve. Practically shaves on autopilot. It has the weight, balance and geometry. All it needs is someone with sound technique (not perfect, the razor will complete the user) and get ready for some great, close and comfortable shaves. The Shannon’s Copaiba soap was just stellar. A lightly scented rose that is delicate yet substantial with a bit of jasmine that pairs nicely. Once I started loading the brush and building my lather, I caught very nice whiffs of Sandalwood as it was just blended perfectly giving it the right amount of a masculine scent tone without overpowering the Rose & jasmine scent notes. Very nicely done as the lather was rich, silky and smooth. The performance was as expected, superb as it left my face moisturized and hydrated. A good shave indeed. Day two on the Type M and I decided after 8 hours of running deliveries today on my day off from sales I deserved a bit of luxury. I whipped up the Sheep with the big synthetic and had a great lather. Even though it's unscented I love this soap. Really rich, thick, protective and slick.

I did discover, however, (or perhaps rediscover is more appropriate) that a heavy hand with a wildly open gapped injector can overcome even the slickest lather. On the second pass I managed to inflict some bloody damage on my left throat area. Too much pressure, too much angle. It was simply horrible technique and I believe the Politburo of the Cartel should probably convene to determine if I'm still fit to be Czar after that kind of rookie action. My only defense is - 8 hours of hauling food all over STL with another shift hauling people coming up shortly. Show mercy on a weary road warrior. I promise I'll do better with the shave tomorrow.

The damage was really a big weeper and a nick. So it didn't bleed long. But I will slow down in the future and put my head back in the game.

My first use of a Timeless Ti 0.68 head and P&B V60 soap last night in what turned out to be a truly excellent shave.

My Lee Sabini knotted Paladin Chief was the perfect brush to try the V60 with and it didn't disappoint.

The scent is an amazing blend of coffee and chocolate with slightly darker undertone. It coupled well with the citrus notes of the Dermalogica pre-shave oil and the sumptuous chocolate scent of the I Coloniali AS Balm.

The Ti head was much smoother and more efficient than I was expecting it to be (given that it has a scalloped baseplate and the head is not polished).

It combined well with my Timeless Plaid handle and the difference in weight between it an my 0.95 stainless head was very noticeable.

They're definitely great bits of kit that's for sure.
