Shave today was with a Colorado Razor Designs two band badger, Stirling Coniferous soap, a Razorock MJ-90 razor with an Astra blade, finished with B&M's Le Grand Chypre aftershave.

Two passes and some touchup, and the result was a decent shave indeed.

Final shave for the Consul this month. Sharp Star is still as horrible as ever. Yuck. Don't know why I have a whole room full of them. But I do think I need to order more. The Stirling Ozark Mountain is still a soap that just amazes me with the scent. About the time I think I've found a new favorite scent I use the OM again and I'm reminded how much I really love it. JR46 for an effortless, classy and just plain awesome lather.

Two passes, some touch up, baby is in the house and I'm about to finally eat some dinner. Light dinner tonight, though. I'm still losing weight and I have a Dr. appointment on Thursday. The real doctor, not the pain guy. So this one counts big.

Three more shaves for the month and I have to decide which adjustable to finish with. I'm wavering between unleashing the Qshave one more run or finishing with class on the Toggle. I'll figure it out by tomorrow. Have a great night!

Thank you Sean, I appreciate it. Razorock puts out some interesting limited edition pieces. I had thought I read somewhere that they may be releasing the “Amici” brush again, but with a different knot.

Christmas in August
I decided to use Max Schaefer's Christmas tree scent and it's close scent relative Krampert's Frostbite, and I was rewarded with a superb shave and a welcome cool down on a humid morning. The lather was slick and thick, so the razor did it's work so easily and comfortably.

My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Williams Mug Shave Soap face lathered well with the B-400 Brush by Tom. I did two passes with the Gillette NEW DeLuxe Tuckaway Razor with a Gillette Super Thin DE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Aqua Velva Ice Blue AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

I had to change my planned setup because of the intense heat forecasted for today and I'm glad I did. My dear friend Jaco's Kameelperd's Kick is South Africa's equivalent to the Glacials. I can't get over how frigid the menthol is, how easily it lathers, and how good it feels post-shave. The scent is a nice, strong coffee with powerful menthol fumes. The Glacial Obsidian and the Rubby Dubby Doo were a perfect end to this lovely three pass BBS shave. By the way, in Afrikaans kameelperd means "giraffe."

 

Small internet. I did some research on the Beach shave soap and one of the reviewers mentioned the old Seinfeld bit. I was like, hey, I should find a video and add it to my post. I picked this one because it captured just the intended reference and wasn't too long. I had no idea it was your video. heh
