Great shave, Sergio. May I suggest you recite the Serenity prayer for your various addictions; be it roses, the Progress or any others. ;)

My impressions are completely different, Andrew.
The quasi-lather in large bubbles, might turn into a yogurt like lather, but I'm not patient enough, probably...

I do not remember about its slickness, but I never felt it protective.
But I love that scent, as well.

It does take a bit of work to create a good lather, but I have been happy with its performance. Glad we are in agreement as to the scent.

I've been always wondering if Rodin named the sculpture as he did because he could not state what he really sculpted...
And if the model was aware of being observed...

With all the soaps available I don't want to fight to achieve a decent performance.
I'm not proud of being lazy, but cope with it. ;)
Have so many soaps that lather with no effort...

Should I want that scent, I'd take the MdC if it would not come in such big bowls...

thank you Sergio.i haven't had any problems with mine but mine aren't that old.year or 2 at best.i heard they had some real issues for a while and at first i was reluctant to buy them.the oud-santal is the tallow version and the other i have is apricot in the veggie version.neither have separation issues or granules present and are quite firm.probably won't buy them again though.there are better french soaps..lather wise it /they do well and do the job.scents are nice as well..

Mine's older and had no granule/separation issues: just won't lather.
After this discussion I might give it a chance as I never tried to use it as a stick and that, don't know why, makes a big difference.
