The C.O. Bigelow Shave Cream face-lathered well with Tom's 3D Printed Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Russian ShaDE razor with a Gillette Silver Blue Half Blade blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Osage Rub. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

 

The end caps on the top cap does make it big but in use it doesn't feel big and bulky.

The ASCO blade did not work in the WFSR so switching to a GSB


One more week with the Fine razor to finish out my initial testing of it. So far it's very good indeed. The More For You SS is an inexpensive Turkish product that works well for me. Smells like Arko but stronger. I don't find it offensive at all although I'm sure there are lots that would object. So off we go for another week of anticipated great shaves. Thanks, I blame COVID19 for keeping me busy reading, bloody hurry up with the vaccines, otherwise, we all go bloody CRAZY!!

 

The Chinese one? The Russian?

 

Hey Primo. No bother at all. GlazedBoker represents the last straight razor shave my Father ever had. It was with a Boker King Cutter 7/8 with 18K gold inlay that I gave him for his 85th birthday. He used it until arthritis and the shakes limited him with straight shaving. He’d use disposables and towards the end I’d shave him. Right before he passed he asked for a straight shave with the gold glazed chopper, the Boker KC. He told my Mother that The Almighty had sent His finest and as if shaved by an Angel. Since his passing, it’s never been touched again. It sits on a bookshelf in my living room. That’s the story on GlazedBoker.

Straight on 2 has to do with an 8/8 Wostenholm Wedge that has some severe spine wear from whom ever was the previous owner(s) from honing and a slightly bent Tang that goes into the spine that I could never get perfectly straight. Anyways, I’ve always had to do 2 touch up passes with it near the Adam’s Apple because of the slight bend in the razor overall. But, it’s perhaps the smoothest razor I’ve ever encountered. Uglier than Sin but, I love it so. And there’s Straight on 2 for you.
