    Saturday morning:

    Neutrogena Deep Clean Facial Wash
    Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole
    Junjie/Wilkinson Sword day 4
    Proraso Green SS
    Proraso Green Crema Pre/Dopo Barba
    Proraso Green AS Splash
    Brut Deodorant Spray
    Brut EdT

You know what? This cheap little Chinese made Junjie razor is actually very efficient. If I tell you that I paid $2,00 CAD for it in a dollar store here in Montreal would you believe me?? I really wasn’t expecting it to amount to much but I must say that I was very pleasantly surprised. My Yaqi beauty gave me awesome lather with the Proraso Green soap which has that nice eucalyptus scent, the menthol sensation felt great, and the postshave feeling was very comfortable. The Proraso Green pre/aftershave cream works so well as a balm, and the Proraso Green aftershave is so cooling as well as soothing. Gee, lately I’m really loving the Brut - it’s a perfect daytime fragrance. Three passes gave me a brilliant BBS shave that I enjoyed immensely!

Enjoy the weekend - be well and safe!

Razor - 1967 Gillette "Slim" set on 7
    Blade - Feather (2nd)
    Pre-shave - Proraso "Blue"
    Soap - Ogallala "Bay Rum"
Brush - Simpson T3 Trafalgar synthetic
Post - Thayers Toner & Geo F Trumper "Skin Food"
AS Pinaud Clubman "Virgin Islands Bay Rum"

I did not bloom the soap but, I did warm the lather bowl and brush. Left brush full of water and had to load the brush 3 times to get the lather I wanted. This soap is getting used up. I will have to replace it.

2 pass shave with no cleanup. Slim is very efficient. WTG & ATG left me smooth. Alum bar gave minimal feedback. No cuts, nicks, or weepers.

Yes it is amazing to see before and after shots of the brush trans form into a nice bloom like that. I thought it was to much at first but it is very easy to lather small areas under the nose I found and very nice face feel also. Always learning something new to keep it interesting. I see you are using RR Aqua, I found it a loud scent and long lasting.

    Shaving recipe for today.

Prep: Warm shower:/Asda Tingly Mint & Tea Tree Shower Gel.

    Pre:
Cold wet flannel to my face.
Pears with Mint Extracts Transparent Bar Soap
    Brush: Semogue 1305.
    Palm Lather.
    Lather: Palmolive Soap Bar.
    Blade: Feather Hi Stainless. (D2)
    Razor: Parker 22R.

    Post:
Cold water face wash with brush squeezing's, Cold Water Face Rinse./ Homemade (~Spring/Summer mix~) Lemon, Eucalyptus, Tea Tree, Essential Oils.3 Menthol Crystals Mixed Together With 200ml of Care+Witch Hazel./Brut ASL + Splash-On Lotion./Aloe Vera Gel.

    A relaxing Sunday morning shave.

After seeing the recent post on TSR (UK) forum using the Palmolive Soap Bar to shave which made me curious to give it a try so i ventured into the town centre and got a multi pack x 4 from Home Bargains for the grand total of £1!.
Once in a while i use my Pears transparent soap & WS soap bowl Franken-soap which produces a great lather and i have the tried Dove Men care + soap and few other hand/bath bar soaps which all have worked with acceptable results with no risk of irritation or drying out my skin.

Regardless to the shaving soap or cream i use for my shaves i always use post shave applications which are a tonic for my mature rhino skin type.

I have a fondness for both the Palmolive classic Shave stick & shaving cream, hence my forum name and was also curious as to how close the Palmolive bar soap scent was to the Palmolive stick & cream.
The scent is completely different but the bar soap still it has a mild pleasant clean scent.

I wet the soap and rubbed it directly into my face stubble then with the damp not wet brush i started to lather keeping it a bit dry at first then gradually adding a small amount of water to the tips of the brush. It lathers up fairly well, and is really slick but because it's a bath/hand soap it did start to dissipate quicker than a shaving soap which i expected but no quicker than other hand/bath bar soaps i have shaved with in the past....The Semogue 1305 held the lather wonderfully....My boar brushes are something i should add more often to my brush rotation.

All in all, it' provides a slick lather which carried the shave.

Would i use it again? yes, as it gave me an acceptable irritation-free shave...What more can i ask for....As always YMMV.

Another enjoyable 2 pass + pick ups close comfortable shave with no errors to report...Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Aloe Vera Gel.

My face is feeling super smooth & smelling divine from the brut duo.;)

Stay safe, and enjoy your Sunday ladies & gentlemen.

    Sunday morning’s Grand Freeze:

    Stirling Mentholated Pre Shave Soap
    Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole
    Junjie/Wilkinson Sword day 5
    Stirling Glacial Spearmint SS
    Stirling Glacial Spearmint ASB
    MSC Frosted Spearmint AS Spray
    Brut Deodorant Spray
    Brut EdT

Man alive, any colder and I think my face would have gotten freezer burn - the menthol sensation from this Glacial Spearmint soap is friggin LETHAL. The scent is beautiful, it filled the bathroom, my Yaqi Barber Pole churned up such awesome lather, the freeze hit me like a ton of icy cold bricks, and the postshave feeling was so soothing as well as comfortable. The matching balm doesn’t lack menthol either, it smells exactly like the soap, it’s so moisturizing and soothing, while Fernando’s Frosted Spearmint aftershave smells EXACTLY like the Glacial Spearmint not to mention how frigid it is. Three glorious passes left me with an absolutely BBS result - what a terrific shave this was!

Enjoy your Sunday - be well and safe!
