    Razor - Star 1912
Blade - GEM Persona (8th shave) still sharp! I mark the blade with a permanent marker after each shave to keep track
Soap - TOBS "Mr Taylor's Shaving Cream"
    Spoon for measuring soap
I used Proraso White pre-shave (not in pic)
    Brush - Classic Shaving synthetic
    Post-shave - Thayers toner & Geo F Trumper skinfood
    AS - Pinaud Clubman "Vanilla"

Not a lot of beard but, I wanted to shave. It is always very pleasant when I use the Star 1912. I really like the scent of this TOBS. Easy lather with just a little water in the brush. I pre-heated the bowl and brush. Washed face while bowl/brush warmed. TOBS is always easy for me. Uneventful 2-pass shave with no cleanup WTG & ATG. No cuts, nicks, or weepers! Alum bar was nil on the feedback. Smooth!

I plan on using this soap again tomorrow and the brush too. I need 2 more shaves with this blade to bin it with 10 shaves so, I will use the Featherweight tomorrow. That one can bite me if I don't pay attention. Maybe a Micromatic on Friday to finish the week and that blade. Back to the Hawk for the weekend and see if I still have it dialed in.

Razor : Razorock 2nd Gen Lupo.72, mid range, excellent design for clamping, easy to work under the nose area, made from 316 Stainless steel + a joy to use. I get good shaves with this razor head consistently.
Blade : Gillette Polsilver SI(4) sharp & smooth with excellent longevity.
Soap : Razorock Don Marco, nice citrus scent with excellent lather qualities. Nice pick me up scent IMO.
Brush : Yaqi Sagrada 22mm 2 band badger, excellent lather generator, pillow like soft tips, nice splay scrub + excellent lather painter. One of my favorites in 2 band badger + not a lather hog.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Italian barber Amici with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results :CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers=[IMG] excellent shave with my RR Lupo.72 with a Polsilver SI blade. ( Shave does not get any better for myself!)

This shave was inspired by @Jayaruh - I enjoyed his Sotd YouTube video this morning

Jim was shaving with a Gillette new. I have a Gillette new that was a gift several years ago from my son-in-law, who appreciates vintage things and is a wet shaver himself. I always thought the razor was really cool to have, but I feared it was too aggressive for me. The first time I used it my technique wasn't the best and I think I used too much pressure and had an uncomfortable shave. I tend to like easy, comfortable razors like my Supply SE and my Henson AL13 mild. But today, I thought, "I can do this!"

So I had good prep and a good lather, found the right angle then went slow and easy with no pressure. I got a good comfortable shave in two passes! Thanks for the encouragement, Jim!

Tatara Nodachi cap, Masamune closed comb plate and handle.
    Feather blade (fresh).
    Yaqi two band badger brush.
    Razorock P160 shave soap.
    Timeless Razor shave bowl.
Irish Chestnut by Andy Hilfiger cologne.

I mixed up the Tataras this morning and what a shave. This is getting better and better.

This combination gave me a blade gap of .63mm and a neutral exposure.

Three very nice smooth and efficient passes....BBS all the way around. Going with the Nodachi top cap on the Masamune plate brought the exposure from -0.13mm out to a neutral exposure which amped the razor up very nice. I really like this combination.

I posted a chart showing the combinations. It seems a little confusing since Tatara doesn't use a numbering system but once you figure it out it is not so bad.

    Happy Thursday everyone!

    Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole
    Super Speed/Wilkinson Sword day 9
    Viking Sensitive SC
    Prep ASB
    Alt Innsbruck AS Splash

It’s been ages since I used this Bulgarian made Viking Sensitive. It’s an awesome cream with a nice scent, great lather, a mild but very pleasant menthol sensation, and very soothing skincare. The Prep and the Alt Innsbruck aftershave were a perfect finish. Two passes with my trusty Super Speed sufficed for a terrific BBS shave. Today I’m going to the cemetery to visit my Dad and to say a prayer for him because it’s his birthday.

    Be well and safe.

    Arko Shave Soap
    Semogue Owners Club
    Gillette Short Comb NEW
    Treet Carbon Steel

    Cella After Shave Balm

The Arko Shave Soap lathered well with Semogue Owners Club boar brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Gillette Short Comb NEW razor with a Treet Carbon Steel Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Cella After Shave Balm. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Old Spice and Bay Rum seem like two shaving features that cancel each other out(due to both having "the freshness of the open sea" from an Old spice ad back in the days of yore).

Fine Thursday shave with the Featherweight. I forgot how much feedback this razor gives. Very nice!

    Razor - GEM Featherweight
Blade - GEM Personna SS (9th shave) I will get one more shave with this blade and bin it
    Pre-shave - Proraso White
Soap - TOBS "Mr Taylor's Shaving Cream"
    Brush - Classic Shaving synthetic
Post-shave - Thayers Toner "Rose petal"
AS - Chiseled Face "Ghost Town Barber"

I showered before shaving so, the prep was done in shower. Cool water soak of the brush & shake out the excess water. Spoon to measure the cream soap. Dropped into the lather bowl and in less than minute I had rich, creamy lather. I really like this TOBS! Very nice scent that is not overpowering. The Chiseled Face AS paired nicely with it. The Featherweight gives loud feedback and is very pleasant to shave with now that I have it dialed in. Did a 2-pass shave WTG & ATG with minimal cleanup. Blade is getting dull so it took more work to get clean! Alum bar gave zero feedback. No errors to report. The Thayers "Rose Petal" is new and very nice! I also have Lavender coming.

Micromatic for tomorrow and a soap I have not used in a while.
