SE SOTD, Friday August 25th 2023

Razor : Yaqi Excalibur SE 50mm AC with a Milano 316 SSP handle- Mfg 2021>, tame mid range. Very simple clamping system with small razor head parts to assemble(I assemble on a washcloth for ease). This little razor head is very nimble and works very well on my face + affordable. I seem to get steady excellent stellar shaves 95%> of the time like this mornings shave.
Blade : Schick proline p30 (1) sharp and smooth with reasonable longevity, excellent match up with my Excalibur razor.
Soap : Ogallala Bayrum with Sandalwood, nice scented Bayrum with excellent lather qualities. I like the Sandal wood Aftershave lotion that goes with this soap.
Brush : Yaqi " Coat tails" 24mm G4 synthetic, excellent lather generator, pillow like soft tips, excellent splay scrubber + excellent lather painter. This synthetic knot is a close to my 3 & 2 band badgers for face feel.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Witch hazel soap residual cleanse + Ogallala Bayrum & Sandalwood AS lotion + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= excellent stellar comfortable close shave this morning with a coated Schick proline p30 blade.

Bowl: Home Bargains Stainless Steel Side Bowl.
Lather: The BodyShop Maca Root & Aloe Shave Cream.

A new eclectic shave set up to start the weekend.

The Kanzy K100 razor has a well-balanced weight it's closed 'tech type head' which holds the blade rigidly which blade chatter is reduced to minimum with no blade over-hang which is very comfortable to shave with additional protection of not catching my ear lobes or under my nose when shaving.

The maca root & aloe shave cream was one of the first creams I bought when I started traditional wet shaving, I didn't give it much attention to be honest at first which was very foolish on my behalf I'm now into my second tub today with a small amount it created a wonderful lather for both of my shaves I highly recommend giving this cream a try, if you haven't already, it's fragrance doesn't get top marks, but it's slickness, protection and post shave feeling are fantastically good.

Another enjoyable close comfortable face & head shave with no errors to report. Finishing the shave off with a few small squirts of Milton Lloyd Essentials No 3 EdP to the pulse points.

My face & precious swede are feeling smooth cool and smelling divine.

This Junjie is a very cheap DE and it’s also very mild in comparison to other razors but it’s very efficient. Hell, I paid only two bucks for it at a dollar store near my house and I bought a couple for my father-in-law and one of my brothers-in-law and they’re very satisfied with them. The Vintage Spice soap and aftershave are two precious treasures made by my dear brother Fernando who’s a master artisan - the scent is so gorgeous - it’s a carbon copy of the Shulton Old Spice, the soap lathers like a champ and its tallow formula gives it such awesome slickness as well as very soothing postshave care. The Aveeno moisturizer is unscented so it doesn’t interfere with any fragrance, and the Vintage Spice aftershave is witch hazel based so it never stings or burns - that Shulton Old Spice scent is to die for and it lasts practically all day. Three passes gave me one helluva great BBS shave that was so much fun!

The PSC Caffeinated Shave Cream lathered well with Jayaruh #445 Synthetic brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Gravjura 5/8 straight gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Dickinson's Witch Hazel and then PSC Caffeinated AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
