Prep: Warm shower:/Dove Men+Care Clean Comfort Body+Face Wash.

Pre:
Cold wet flannel to my face.
Pears with Mint Extracts Transparent Bar Soap.
Brush: Omega 10051.
Face Lather.
Frankensoap: Arko+Palmolive Classic grated Shave sticks.(grated) Blade: Rapira Platinum Lux. (D2)
Frankenrazor: Yaqi DOC Head / Schmidt R10 Handle.

Post:
Cold water face wash with brush squeezing's, Cold Water Face Rinse./Alum Rub./Cold Water Rinse. /Homemade (~Spring/Summer mix~) Lemon, Eucalyptus, Tea Tree, Essential Oils.3 Menthol Crystals Mixed Together With 200ml of Care+Witch Hazel./ Duru Turkish mandarin Cologne./Nivea Men Fresh Kick ASB.

Early morning shave.

A Great shave to finish my shaving week off wonderfully.

A comfortable 2 pass + pick ups silky smooth shave with no errors to report... Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Nivea Men Fresh Kick ASB.

My face is feeling cool smooth & smelling divine.

The De Vergulde Hand Shave Soap lathered well with the Red and Black Badger Brush by Tom. Two passes and touch ups with the Red and Black OT Razor by T. White and a Gillette Nacet Stainless Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Florida Water. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

It’s been a little while since I used a tallow based soap so today I pulled out a top favourite of mine. My dear brother Fernando in Johannesburg, South Africa makes some of the BEST soaps and aftershaves I’ve ever used in my entire life. His Vintage Spice is something else - do I ever love it. The scent is so close to the Shulton Old Spice soap and aftershave, this soap gives such terrific lather with so much slickness as well as such great skincare. The Aveeno moisturizer is unscented so it works great as a balm, and the Vintage Spice aftershave is witch hazel based so it never stings or burns and its gorgeous scent lasts almost all day. Except for a tiny weeper on my moustache area this was a perfect three pass BBS shave that I really enjoyed!

Red Tips were all the rage ten years ago, now it seems they get substantially less attention. At one point I was on Red Tip overdrive and had about six at one time; now down to two. This E1 is part of my quintet of birth quarter Gillettes. It’s a great example of mid-century sweetness. The blade, now binned, wasn’t as smooth as it was yesterday in the Lupo but it sufficed for a solid 9/10 shave. And how good is the Zenith unbleached olivewood brush, you ask?
Yes, that good!
I’m still 3017ing the Snake Bite hard puck as long as it’s not Williams Wednesday or ‘Fat Friday. A splashup of Snake Bite triple shot and a healthy dose of LEA Classic for its soothing deliciousness.

DE SOTD, Thursday August 3rd 2023

Razor : Razorock 2nd Generation Lupo.72 316 SSP- Mfg 2021>, medium range, Excellent accurate machining and great polished finish. This razor works well for beard lines and under the nose area because of concaved cut out corners and thin head thickness. Had a great close enjoyable shave this morning.
Blade : GSB (3) sharp and smoooth with reasonable longevity.
Soap : Taylor of old Bond st Sandal wood- very nice herbal sandal wood 6/10 scented strength with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "Casino clubs" 26mm timber wolf knot, excellent lather generator, heavenly luxury cloud like soft tips , nice gentle splay scrubber + excellent lather painter. I really enjoy using this brush, 1 of 10 made on their damaged handle sale. Proto type?
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Proraso red sandal wood with witch hazel + a dollop of Geo F Trumper sandalwood skin food.
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers= excellent shave with my RR Lupo.72 with a GSB.

Wow, if this shave was any colder I think my face would have disintegrated because this Glacial Strawberry Lemonade soap and aftershave are two menthol atom bombs with a gorgeous scent. The soap’s tallow formula gives it such perfect lather that has so much slickness and cushion, the menthol sensation is killer cold, and the skincare is so brilliant. The Prep and the Glacial Strawberry Lemonade aftershave were an awesome finishing combination - by the way this aftershave has great longevity so I didn’t need to wear any additional fragrance. Three passes gave me such a dynamite fun filled BBS shave!
