Razor : Yaqi Excalibur 50mm AC type with A Yaqi Milano 316SSP handle, Mfg 2021>, tame mid range, very simple clamping system that takes all 50mm blades, small head parts ( I assemble over a wash cloth). Very nimble and affordable razor IMO.
Had a stellar comfortable enjoyable close shave this morning.
Blade : Schick proline p30(4) sharp and smooth with reasonable longevity, good match with the Excalibur razor.
Soap : Speick stick, nice mild spicy scent with excellent lather qualities. Hard to beat this soap IMO for performance and scent.
Brush : Yaqi "Robin" 24mm boar bristle, excellent lather generator, soft split end boar bristle tips, nice splay scrubber, great lather painter. Hard to beat a broke in boar brush some mornings for a nice different face feel.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave :Alum test(nothing much) Razorock King Louis lavender with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : 1-10 dial - Copy (2) 1 10.545 1.jpg or CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers=[IMG] Excellent stellar shave with my Yaqi Excalibur SE AC 50mm razor with a Schick proline. Very comfortable shaving this morning.

    Personna Platinum Chrome
    Elite Razor “Mother Earth”
    Mitchell’s Wool Fat
    Snake Bite aftershave splash
    Baume.BE aftershave balm

I dig Star DE razors. This particular model 100 is a real fine shaver. Another one just like it lives in my travel kit. The handle itself is a thing of beauty, aesthetically and functionally. Those who’ve had the pleasure would most certainly agree. Paired with a fresh IP, I got a solid WAS in two easy passes.

Now, this brush from Bob Quinn - I call it Mother Earth - may be, no, is my favorite three band badger brush. It’s ergonomically perfect and real pretty to look at! The knot, 26x~50 is superb! Superior to any other 3 band knot I’ve tried including Simpson and Thater.

It felt good to get back to the MWF, like a long lost friend, but it’s only been a week! Snake Bite triple shot and a dab of Baume balm just for fun to finish things off

    Have a great day!

I really like that bowl James! did your soap come in that bowl? Or did you buy it separately? Earlier today I ordered a soap by Saponificio Varesino. It comes in an aluminum container and I'm not sure how I feel about loading while the soap is in that container, so I'm thinking of purchasing a wooden bowl and keep it there instead.

I bought the bowl separately on eBay. It wasn't all that expensive. Some wood bowls can be costly, like this one from Saponificio Varesino

Thanks James. Yes I saw that one and it is pricey. I was considering the one TOBS sell with their Sandalwood soap. My sister is going England next week and she's planning on picking up Eton College cream but I might change my mind ask her to pick up the Sandalwood soap in the wooden bowl. I will check on eBay for something similar to yours.

The TOBS Saldalwood bowl is beautiful. It's the same one that The Art of Shaving uses. And it may be the same soap now that Valobra is no longer available as a supplier.
I picked up some vintage AOS Sandalwood on eBay.

Thank you James! I sent my sister the link to Sandalwood bowl. She's going to pick it up for me! I just might ask to pick up an empty bowl as well!
