That's a good looking razor. I've never heard of Oliworks before. I hope using it this week is exceptional for you.

After I posted my own shave I went to Oliworks and read about them and the products. Thank you for your excellent post.

I used the new REX Plat Blade for my first time. It was smooth and sharp. The Gillette Tech is a mild razor imo; to me, medium to mild razors are best for trying an unfamiliar blade. I did three passes. I have smooth as silk on my face and next to SAS on the underside of my face. The price of the blades were $2.50 USD for a pack of five. They are made in the Czech Republic. That's where Tatra plats are made also. To me, they are more smooth than sharp but sharp enough. [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

I’ve tried three Chinese blades so far, and didn’t quite like any. Baili Green was mediocre, and so was Matgicol. Jifuli was very smooth, barely sharp, and spent after just two shaves.

Enter FlyDear. Got a 100 off Ali just to try, since enough people had good things to say about them. $8.11 delivered, and there are way cheaper bargains if you have the inclination to chase them.

The first shave this morning was very promising. In a guaranteed medium aggressive performer, Maggard V3A, the blade was butter smooth and just sharp enough to provide a clean 3-pass BBS with zero issues. 10 out of 10, and 5 hours later still not even a sign of growth.

If this blade maintains performance for 5 total shaves, I will definitely make it a major part of my arsenal. Only 4 more to go….

Does the clove scent blend in well with the others so you get a solid mix?

OSP has been out of business for some time now. And OSP UKWSS Herb Garden hasn't been available new since 2016.

Sadly I decided I couldn't get "one" with Chisled Face's GTB. I would probably feel the same with an Ogalalla Bay Rum, but there's more varieties with the latter.

That would be OSP Old Gold Shaving Soap -- one of my favorites, along with Urban Viking. ;)
