The Morning Shave.
The Gillette Minora Stainless blade was in my 1964 Gillette Slim Adjustable today.

Not much I can keep saying about the Gillette Minora, this blade won’t give up. Shave 10, and still super smooth with no tug or irritation.

I was interested to try the Gillette Pure shaving cream, I picked this up in a discount shop for $3.50 Aus.
The cream has almost no scent, very light floral. I didn’t need much however this cream does need a decent amount of water to create volume, and a couple of minutes whip in the bowl to create a full dense rich lather.
Not sure how this will perform for a face latherer. It is very soft probably suited to sensitive skin.

Overall, a good product, very affordable. If you like unscented creams this should be on your list.

 

Good stuff man. Your Gillette Slim is in great shape, I need to send mine out and get it replated so I can get it looking factory fresh again.

The DOVO Primo 2 delivered again.

Very gentle but extremely smooth and efficient. Great razor.

Everything played well together and gave me 2,5 relaxing passes which resulted in a BBS Shave.

The Alum Block had only one spot with minor feedback. The rest of the face: none.

Lilac Vegetal has a wonderful scent. Love at second sight.

A 10 out of 10

The Williams Mug Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #457 Synthetic Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Gillette Red Tip Razor and the Gillette Super Blue Blade X3 gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Pinaud Clubman Classic Vanilla AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

DE SOTD, Wednesday, August 28th

Razor : Yaqi SLOPE 316 SS torsional head with a Yaqi Brass nickel coating handle. Mfg 2022>, mild to tame mid range. Excellent machining and adequate finish for my shaving needs. Had a close comfortable stellar shave this morning.
Blade : Gillette 7oClock Permasharp(India)(2) sharp and smooth with reasonable longevity.
Soap : Yaqi"The Green" If a person likes a natural freshness is the best way I can describe this wonderful soap + excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "Sagrada Familia" 24mm Tuxedo knot. Excellent lather generator, cloud like soft tips, nice splay scrubber + excellent lather painter. Smaller handle but still a decent brush for my shaving needs.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Yaqi The Green spash + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers= Had a close comfortable stellar shave this morning with my Yaqi Slope torsion slant with a Permasharp.
