Holy frozen tundra Batman! Great shave all the way around today folks!

    4/5 blades.

Got the R41 from Jeff today so I'm gonna spend the whole next week with it and see. I already loaded up a Voshkod in it for tomorrow. I completely see where the comments come from....it looks really intimidating with that blade sitting there staring at you like that. I'm sure it'll be fine :scared001:

Hi Dmitry, what do you think of the Wilkinson bowl? For me it has not enough skin care. So I avoid it.
But what is even worse is the Italian version. You can see it here http://www.wilkinson.it/primalui.htm Veeery strange scent and even less skincare.

    Happy Tuesday From Florida!

    Hot Shower
    RAB Scuttle
    Copperhat Horse
    Tabac SC
Strivel Adjustable - Set On 4
    Feather (1)
    Cold Water Rag
    Eveline Aloe ASG
    Tabac AS

3 Passes = meh, better than goo and carts, but not an absolute stellar shave either. I was not sure what to expect with this Strivel. It has a weird adjusting mechanism. To move the blade up or down, you turn the knob and then the blade tray moves up and to one side... weird. I had to clip one of the notches out of the blade in order to make it fit in the razor. I will shave with it again on another setting and see if it makes a difference.

The Copperhat Custom Horse is a great brush! Thanks Brad!

    Have a great day Ya'll!

    TSD Yukihana Soap
    Lord L6
    Super Max Super Platinum (2)

    Anherb AS Gel

I'm just loving this razor, such a close shave. The Anherb went a LONG way in cooling me down this morning. It sure is hot and humid this week! :happy005:

    Tuesday:

    Omega Wooden Handle
    Super Speed/Personna day 5
    Bozzano Aloe Vera SC
    Keri unscented moisturizer
    Yohji Yamamoto Pour Homme AS
    Yohji Yamamoto Pour Homme EDT

To be very honest, I'm not too gung-ho about this Bozzano Aloe cream. Sure, it lathers very well, smells quite nice, etc, but it seemed to leave my skin feeling a bit dry. The Yohji Yamamoto aftershave and eau de toilette are discontinued since a few years - I have these 2 bottles hanging around, but when they're empty, I'll really miss them. Here is a picture of the Bozzano Aloe stuff. ;) creme-de-barbear.jpg

    Tuesday

    Razor - 1958 TV Superspeed
    Blade - Personna RI
    Brush - SOC
    Soap - EJ Sea Buckthorn
    AS - Proraso White ASB

The shave went really well. I am really attached to the TV superspeeds as it was the razor I learned to shave on. The EJ had a wonderful scent that made the shave most welcome. I have recently had problems keeping lather in my SOC (its like it refuses to load)...but this happens from time to time so I'm not too worried. I chose my Proraso, just because and after I put it on, I thought to myself "Ah! It was definitely a Proraso morning!". It was a great shave!

Shave Of The Day ~ August 23rd

    • TSD Iced SubZero Preshave Balm ~ :smiley freezing: :smiley freezing:
    • Hot Shower
    • Vie-Long Zurito Horse Hair Brush
    • Crabtree & Evelyn Sweet Almond Oil Shaving Cream
    • Clix Razor
    • Voskhod Blade ~ Day 4
    • Thayers Witch Hazel/Osage Rub Blend
    • Master Bay Rum A/S Splash
I think my first Voskhod blade is finished after today's shave, it wasn't really pulling or tugging it just didn't seem to be cutting the whiskers, so I had too many rough spots when I was done. I'll load up my L6 with a new Voskhod tomorrow and see how long a blade lasts in it.

The C&E SAO cream was a real treat, providing a very luscious lather, and unfortunately another great discontinued cream.
