Shave of the Day, Sunday September 1, 2013
• Prep: Brush soaked in ice water, tepid shower, 3P Prep Cream
• Razor: iKon Slant
• Blade: Persona Medical Prep
• Brush: Shavemac Limited Edition Shaving Brush 90 with High Density Finest Two-Band Badger Fan Knot designed by Geoff Anderson
• Cream: Vasmol Super Fresh Lemony Splash Shave Cream (from India, thanks Geet)
• AS: Gillette Cool Wave
• Post: Cold Water Rinse, bath of aftershave

This month I am going to try as many of the creams that Geet had sent me along with other creams and soaps that my fellow wet shavers have PIF'd me.

The Vasmol produced a very nice lather with excellent slickness and protection during the shave. What I did not like about it was the chemical scent which brought back memories of going to the beauty salon with my mother when I was a child.

Two full passes along with minor touch-ups produced great results.

Since Sunday is the first day of my week, I got started on adjustable week


3 passes with the Fatboy set of 4 since it's the first time I've used it with Feathers

Very Nice Shave. It's the first time I've used the Cella too, and I have to say it's an excellent soap. It produces a great moisturizing lather and has a very pleasant Coconut-Almond scent, the first two ingedients listed are coconut oil and tallow.

Had a pretty busy day yesterday. Kinda rushed through the shave, which resulted in a few weepers and some missed spots. The Old Type is still performing well. Very glad I purchased it. Face lathered some Bigelow and it felt very cooling and refreshing. I missed a couple spots on my neck and once I get home late tonight I'm gonna treat myself to a luxury shave.

Excellent shave!

First time with the Feather Popular razor. Initial impressions: well built, light weight due to the plastic, but still solid. I loaded up one of the Feather blades that came in the package and cautiously attacked a two day stubble. The shave was very smooth, no tugging, no effort. The razor is mild and works well with a sharp blade like Feather. Three passes, very comfortable, smooth result. Have I ever had a shave that was a little closer? Yes, but usually with some irritation. This was close enough and without any irritation. Clearly DFS++

I have to give a shout out to Phil at Bull Goose Shaving for amazing service. I placed my order for this razor Thursday afternoon, and the package was in my hands Saturday afternoon! 48 hours from click to mailbox -- outstanding!

The Col. Conk was a little thin even though I took longer than usual working it. It did provide a slick smooth shave in conjunction with the ASCO blade though. All in all, it was a pretty good shave. ​
