    Wednesday:

Prep: Hot shower, AoS Unscented PSO
    Brush: Beeline Boar
Soap: Ginger's Garden Coffee Jasmine Glycerin
    Razor: Merkur 41c 1904 OC
    Blade: Bic Chrome Platinum (4)
    Passes: WTG, XTG
Post: Cold water rinse, Dickinson's WH, Aveeno Active Naturals ASB
Cologne: Jasmin et Cigarette by ELdO

The only reason I stopped at 2 passes today, is that yesterday's shave was so close that a 3rd pass today was unnecessary. No signs of scraping, dullness, or irritation from the Bic after 4 days.

I didn't know they made other pads. Curious now.

Hmm...south of the border WH cleansing......not bad.

    Prep: Hot Shower
    Soap: Irish Moos
    Razor: ‘54 Gillette Super Speed
Blade: Gillette 7 O’Clock Blue SP
    Brush: Omega 10066 Boar

    Aftershave: Krampert’s Frostbite

WTG-XTG-ATG (adjusted angle for my beard a bit)

The Super Speed with the 7 O’Clock Blues keeps chugging along on day three. I used Irish Moos this morning. Easy to get a good lather for three passes. I had a close, smooth, nick and burn free shave. I finished with Krampert’s Frostbite. All is good…

Sorry for not showing any pictures today, but I highly recommend every item that I used. This shave was absolutely BBS and perfect in every way - closeness, smoothness and comfort. I love the Egyptian version of Ingram cream because its consistency is so much better than the British kind. That Gillette Intense Cooling balsam and the Barbon are super-frigid! ;) :D

Very nice shave this morning. While I'm not wild about the handle, I really like this knot. I mean really, really like this knot. Have a good one. It's almost too dark to take pics in the morning and there won't be flowers much longer. It's getting to be that time of year.

Pretty much the same kit as yesterday, but the shave was much better today.

Gillette New Improved on a Weber Bulldog
    Voskhod(2)
Chubbz 2 (Rubberset handle Omega knot)
    Walter's Rose
    Alum
    Cold Water Rinse

I've been out of AS for a little bit now and using dregs and samples I had around. I haven't noticed much of any difference in not using it.

Yeah, I made this amazing discovery of a product called 'shaving cream.' It has made my morning shaves less of an ordeal and certainly change my outlook on life! ;)

I had shaved last night instead of this morning so I could review the razor. I was planning on doing a single pass this morning but after more than 12 hours I have nothing to shave off, which has never been the case with any razor which I have used. Typically by the 12 hour mark I have so much stubble that need to do at least a single pass shave when I get home.

Love the audio feedback provided by the slant and the mild feeling it provides while shaving. If it wasn't for hearing the stubble being removed you would not even know that it was cutting.

It was an incredible shave, and have zero complaints over it's performance. I just wish that more attention to detail was paid to the top caps post as the blade is just a royal pain to align.

Have a great day everyone and enjoy your Wednesday.

Fantastic shave today. Palmolive menthol is wonderful. The axe balm follows the skin bracer nicely. Have a great day! image.jpg

    a. PRE: hot shower; hot 2-minute towel, ABS Shave Butter Creme
    b. RAZOR: Merkur 38c 'Barber Pole'
    c. BLADE: Personna Medical (Day 1)
    d. BRUSH: Semogue 830 Boar
    e. SOAP: Speick cream, liquid Glycerin (scuttle-warmed)
    f. SHAVE: 3 passes & touch-up
    g. POST: Cold water rinse & towel dry; 4711 AS & Nivea and Shea Butter balm

New blade for me: first Personna Med. No issues with it, no effort in shaving. The Shave Butter creme is a capable pre-shave cream that keeps the skin well-lubed throughout the several passes I made. Plus it smells nice. DFS+!

I like that brush a lot! It is compact, easy to hold, and the synthetic black fibers are very soft on the face. It is also a bargain price. It is a very different feeling from the Mühle Silvertip fiber and the TGN synthetic knots. Both of those are excellent, but they feel a little scrubby compared to the black fiber.

Everyone had different preferences, of course, but this brush and the HIS brushes are my favorites.
