I usually go for the 3 pass routine (WTG, XTG, ATG). But this time I was very content with a 2 pass (WTG, XTG). This is very unlike me to stop there, but I figured why push it if I was happy with the results. So stop I did. (as hard as it was to do)

Was really happy with the Proraso Red (Sandalwood) for heavy beards.

Saturday (was quite a busy day)

• Soap: QED Wild Rose (chose this one for my daughter's birthday party: she likes the scent)
• Razor: Shake Sharp
• Blade: Gillette Super Blue (#4)
• Shave: 3-pass + touch-up
• Post: hot water rinse, cold water rinse

The nice thing about a large bowl, is that it floats! My smaller bowl (the coffe cup) tips over when the water is too deep and the brush is lying in the bowl!
Came close to a perfect BBS!


Sunday:

• Brush: Omega travel boar
• Soap: Arko stick

• Blade: Gilette Super Blue
• Shave: 3-pass + touch-up

Great shave: I was awarded a full BBS! I could get used to this razor!

Mike, I went to youtube and checked out Wim Mertens....Very nice. If you like piano music, my current favorite is Ludovico Einaudi.

Wowwwwwwwwwww, what a wonderful shave - so slow and relaxing and enjoyable. I'm going to do it again with my Dovo tomorrow morning for Labour Day if I have enough time. It's thanks to my dear friend Dmitry that I have the inspiration to still use a straight razor. The new Proraso White soap still has that same beautiful scent, but instead of aloe, it has oatmeal as well as green tea. There's still some menthol in it to cool the skin, and to make it feel comfortable during the shave, and the lather is a pleasure to work with. The Svoboda balsam worked its magic very well to soothe and protect my skin, and the Floid Classic is an aftershave which I really love. Corinne says it makes me smell like her grandfather, but I love it!

Very nice shave this morning. This is the second expensive brush (knot in this case)I've had in the last couple of weeks. I don't know for sure if I'm that impressed. They seem to be too dense. I might try dropping the loft a couple more mm and see what happens. Have a good one.

The King Louis aftershave was a surprise,very nice scent and a good hit of menthol,that was the surprise.It's a shame the scent fades so quick, because this is one of the better lavender's out there.
