Good post. I don't think your posts are long winded at all. I just read most of your post. I'll read chapter 3 later. :happy102:

    Congrats on the 5000! :bounce017:

As for the Personna Red, personally, I suspect the issue at '2' is not a function of the mild setting so much as either blade curvature or head geometry. Monday should be interesting...

September 3, 2016- The Post @NCoxSTL Should Skip

    Razor: F2 Gillette FatBoy (5/4)
    Blade: Astra SP (4)
    Brush: VdH Boar
    Soap: Marvy/Dove Hydrating Cream

Basically, the same setup as yesterday though I did take the FatBoy back to 5 for the WTG pass. I chickened out for the second pass, though, and dropped it to 4. Got a little closer shave due to the more aggressive first pass for an overall DFS.

    TSD Iced Lime
    Jayaruh #100
    Schick C
    Personna SS
    CWR, Asma Alum Block
    T.N. Dickinson's WH
    Pinaud Vegetal

The TSD Iced Lime Shave Soap face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #100 two-band badger brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Schick C razor with a Personna Stainless blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse and alum block, I finished off with T.N. Dickinson's WH and then Pinaud Vegetal After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

    Planned Shave For Sunday:

    prep-Stirling Barbershop Bath Soap
    shave-Barbasol Original**
    razor-Gillette Sensor 2 Pivot + DisposeABLE
    A.S.-Stirling Barbershop

I'm not sure I did a Barbasol/Stirling Barbershop combination before-will be interesting to see how it feels especially with the Bath Soap as a prep.

Razor: AlumiGoose in Black. V1. w/Hempel Ti
    Blade: Feather Professional (3)
Brush: Shavemac Zebra, Honeycomb 2 Band Badger
    Soap: Route 66 Lavender Woods
    Aftershave: Afta Skin Conditioner

Another great near BBS shave tonight with this gear. The Route 66 Lavender Woods is very easy to churn into a thick rich lather. The Hempel Ti handle turns a very good razor into an excellent razor.

Thanks Doug, looking forward to giving the Rocnel SE50 its maiden voyage tomorrow.
This is an older tin that is no longer available. I'm not a big Vetiver fan but this one is different, cant really put my finger on it
