This shave was so delightful (except for two tiny weepers!) that I felt like I was in Paradise. The Black Ice soap delivered beautifully on the rich, slick lather, I enjoyed the strong anise scent, and the menthol cooling, although much milder than the Glacial Obsidian felt wonderful. The Snake Bite aftershave laid such an intense freeze on me which hung in for a half hour. I'm still trying to decide which DE to use for this coming week. Perhaps I'll use my Parker R22/Astra combination again - we'll see! :happy088: :happy088:

Decided for my Gillette X2 Superspeed today, which hasn't seen much use by anyone, and paired it with a Lab Blue blade. Frank Shaving Badger, Orange PSO, Orange soap, Orange Witch Hazel and Orange Menthol After Shave. Had no sting when applying the witch hazel, which I do like at times, and cooled off with the after shave. IMG_0697.jpg

    Another great shave
Ginger's Garden Argan cream worked well again. I went with two passes and my face feels good despite sunburn from the football game yesterday. Myrsol Emulsion works pretty well for sunburn, too!

    Thanks Primo!
I bought these aftershave splash and balm without flavor test, it was a blind buy. To be honest, at first I did not understand the smell, but over time it reveals.

Me Bunny too(great shave) using Ted Pellas, Please explain exactly what constitutes a "chick" blade. Anything (injector) from China, or are there different brands that look similar to them, much obliged.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Chicks are Chinese Schicks. And Pellas are re-branded Personnas.

Yes, this is a fine razor. As far as I know there is only one "Chick" blade. I don't think I could convince you that any blade I use is a Chick
The Schick made in China has that nickname.

It is a nice blade but I have nothing to compare it with. Maybe somebody will chime in from Scotland with his two cents.
How do you like the Ted Pella's?
