Got a sure and true BBS this morning. Did my preshave oil twice (at the beginning, and at touch-up), and baby is my face smooth with zero irritation. Also, made a new batch of my favorite bay rum blend (2oz Master, 1 oz ea Superior 70 and Dominica, + five squirts of TSD BR cologne, shaken not stirred, in a 4oz plastic travel bottle). Heavenly.

I've had better, but I wouldn't mind if they were all this good.

 

Wednesday morning in LA -- need a more classy & hip approach to the day. Worked up a great lather with Tabula Rasa and the Rudy Vey turned Shavemac flattop brush & the remarkable Kirby Beard razor & a super Iridium blade. Topped off with some Spanish Floid. Hmm...

Beautiful scroll work on the spine of that razor and that brush is killer too.

 

My SOTD is the same kit as all week thus far but I had really nice results today. Combatting the lazy lather I made yesterday payed off.

-Nice new blade. Rumor has it that the Polsilver is a repackaging of the Super Iridium-it's certainly as sharp and smooth.
Great shave after spending 4 days on the road (Nashville) with my Adjustable Schick Injector with Thrifty blades that my
wife couldn't sell at an Estate Sale-they can be a bit rough.
