When I had the 1kg block, I kept it in the refrigerator for over a year without any problems. I am convinced it was the lack of staying cool that enabled the funkiness.

    THURSDAY
Sort of a 'green' theme to today's shave. My first shave with the OD Hans after it returned recently from a week long stay in the midwest.
Before packing it up to mail, Mike (@entropy1049 ) said he finished the edge off on his 20k Suehiro Gukumyo. As always, this razor delivered an extremely smooth, comfy shave!
I sealed the deal with a splash of the Osage Rub. My wife gave me a peculiar look after sniffing the Osage scent. I fear the aftershave may not last in my rotation. :D
    Have a great Thursday, all!

They cut off chunks and place the rest in the freezer. I do this with my P160 TD and a chunk of Cella and all is fine when it thaws out.

    9/3/2015 Single Edge September/Throwback Thursday!

Prep: Hot shower with Neutrogena Face Wash with menthol, home made PSO
Razor: GEM Featherweight, Imperial Razor Barbers Favorite straight razor
Blade: GEM PTFE Coated SE blade (5)
    Brush: Vie Long Horse Hair
    Soap: PAA - Honeysuckle
After: Home made ASB, Nivea after shave balm
Cologne: Prada - Amber Pour Homme Intense

Happy Thursday everyone! The Vie Long brush whipped the Honeysuckle soap into a sweet and thick lather. The Featherweight paired with the GEM blade with the Barbers Favorite straight had no problem taking down the stubble. The Nivea ASB and the Prada were a nice finish for this 2 pass Darn Fine Shave.

    image.jpg Razor: Feather AS-D2 2015
Brush: Fuller Amber Badger 1920s -1940s
Mug: Old Spice 1985 Cobalt Blue
    Cream: Jack Black cream
    Blade: Feather (2)
Post shave: Thayers Cucumber WH, Jack Black Post Shave Gel, Old Spice Lime original Shulton AS Frosted Glass 1960s
Locked in the Feather blade in the Feather and off we go to another great shave. Whipped up some great lather with the JB and the Badger. Another nice 2 pass shave. Finished with the WH, and then some soothing JB. After cleanup some vintage Old Spice Lime from the '60s. I'm just an Old Spice junkie, but it has to be original Shulton, and the Lime is my favorite. Have a good one y'all!
