ok cool. RR is pretty good soap as well. The only Ginger's Garden I have is the Haight Ashbury which is the coconut oil base, but was thinking of getting some of the glycerin ones, or tallow.

Nice close 2 pass shave today. Don't think I will be using Williams again as the smell is starting to get to me.. reminds me of the citronella candles me and my dad use to get when we went fishing at night to keep the Sketters away.:sick007::sick007::sick007::sick007:

I'm still not convinced about this soap. I know everyone else loves it and when I first got it I thought it was really good
I just needed to dial in the lather to get it perfect. Never quite happened. Still had a comfortable shave today.

    Dove Men Face Wash
Van Der Hagen Luxury Shave Soap
    Jayaruh #18 Silver Tip
    Schick I2 Hydro-Magic
    Personna SS Injector
    CWR, Asma Alum Block
    Thayers Lemon WH
    Aqua Velva

The Van Der Hagen Luxury Shave Soap face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #18 Silver Tip Badger brush. Two passes with my Schick I2 Hydro-Magic razor and a Personna SS Injector blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, alum block, and a final cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Lemon WH and then Aqua Velva after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

I've just had my second shave with the Indian Wilkinson Sword blade, and I am impressed. It is a very capable blade that works very well in the de89. I had planned on testing it in the Merkur 34c, but in my eager to shave I forgot to switch razors like any second rate padawan. To make matters worse, I managed to cut myself on the cheek above the "beard line" because I was too busy to shave that I forgot to actually shave.
The circle is now complete, before I was but a learner and now I am right back learning again. I guess that what makes it so fun, shaving and messing up Star Wars quotes by trying to explain how I shaved. Yes, I am easily amused :)

I have been airing out the MdC soap for the last few weeks, and my reaction to it has faded quite a bit (mind you, I am knocking on wood while typing this) and is barely noticeable. If that keeps up I will try that method with other soaps. Right now I have three shave sticks airing out, Tabac, Camelot and the Blueness sticks. The latter was a real pain and felt more or less like poison ivy. Granted I have never seen nor felt poison ivy, but I can imagine that it feels very much like shaving with Blueness.

The perfect end to this shave was the Lucido Aftershave. It is practically scentless, but does for a fleeting second remind me of a licorice -like Liquor type scent, or was it liqour-like licorice?
Anyway, it is a mighty fine aftershave. Gentle on the skin, but soothing on the burn

    Razor: Edwin Jagger de89
    Blade: Wilkinson Sword
    Brush: Frank Shaving
    Soap: Martin de Candre
    Aftershave: Lucido
