I've finally got my head around Mike's Unscented Soap... fantastic, leaves my skin feeling great. The Polsilvers are a great shave, but the Astra's are still top dog with the Muhle, still haven't found anything as smooth for the R41. All in all a DFS.

-I now have a new and improved relationship with my R41-I've generally avoided it due to it's scraping and pulling feeling, but today I found the sweetspot angle and it was absolutely fantastic. It needs to be practically perpendicular with your face.
-found Godrej shave cream in Chicago's Indian neighborhood on Devon (looked a few years and and was not able to find it)-$2.99/tube!! Also found Alum block for $1.98! I used both this am and was very happy with the quality. I do not recall the name of the shop but it was on the north side of the street at about the 2800 block.

 

Yeah, Tabac's great! One of my faves as well!

 

Not to be an enabler....?.....who said misery loves company.......Probably someone in the RAD ward...ha,ha,ha.....
But you are right Bruce...as usual, my friend....The price of a razor is not that big a deal....and it sure can improve your quality of life....Thats a fact...

After Shave: Warm water, cold water, and a splash of Pinaud virgin Island Bay Rum. A very Bay Rum shave indeed! After using Captain's Choice Bay Rum, the Pinaud just doesn't smell as good to me anymore. Really nice shave with the Weber.

 

LOL Right you are Lloyd! Somehow that reminded me of the scene in 13 Monkeys when Brad Pitt was talking to Bruce Willis in the asylum. Hillarious! That's probably what we look like when we are in the throws of full blown RAD!

 

Bruce I already have to sell a bunch of razors to justify my straight razors and associated kit, you're not helping me want the 3rd adjustable razor here Then again, every review I've seen of the progress has been positive barring any alignment issues which are easily remedied as Mantic has shown....ARGH, well I could use a mid-august present for myself lol.

 

A good rationalization would be that your not getting just one razor for the price but FIVE more razors (note: the 5 settings on the Progress) therefore you have saved FOUR TIMES as much as you spent! (I have to admit I stole this rationalization from my SWMBO!)
