    Shower and Shave

A great hot shower with a bar of goat milk soap, form a local soap maker. Like supporting small local business'
Facial prep Proraso glycerin, the glycerin bar does a great job in prepping the face.
Featured brush Semogue 1460, is great brush lathers any soap with total ease.
Soap choice Taylor Bond Street "Avocado". I like this soap nice and slick, pleasant cool scent.
Day three for the Gillette SS black handle and Ladas duo.
Two pass shave today completed the shave with a cold water splash, alum, TSD Lime Coconut Verbona.
    Great DFS. BeFunky_OldPhoto_13.jpg

Tried the Gillette blue for the first time today. DFS. Another fine Russian blade. The small soap is a Bull Frog sample that I used like a shave stick.

BTW, I must clarify even further ... I just liked how the SOTD showed "none" with the smileys. Found it fun. Not laughing at the shave routine ... heaven knows I've had to take days away from shaving before. Usually not for fun reasons.

The last two days of the blind blade test gave me less than desirable shave results, so tonight I had an evening shave.

Prep: Tepid Shower, brush soaking in hot water
Razor: Gillette Old Type Single Ring

    Perma-Sharp Super D3
    Rebul Manderine Colonia/Rebul Lavanda Colonia
Pour Un Homme de Caron EdT

I consider the Senator in the Super Speed family...I love my Super Speed aswell but I really need the ease of attaining such a close shave that lasts all day that I get with the Open Comb...This Senator now holds the record for BBS longevity...At least from the razors I've tried...

Absolutely Exquisite Shave...3 passes and shiney BBS....I used cold water for all rinsing including rinsing the razor...

I love the Caron, but I'm missing my signature scent Guerlain Habit Rouge...I'm going to pick up some in Dubai next month, but don't think I can wait that long....Might have to hit the Dept. Store tester bottle for a few spritzes....:)

    Jamie.

Well i gave the Dubl Duck it's first ever honing yesterday then 50 on my bench paddle strop with a little chromium oxide 50 on the linen and 100 on the leather, she gave out a lovely smooth shave, not unsimilar to my other German square point the Maxotte razor, but it as a very unforgiving point on both those razors which i'm more than aware of.

I don't think that even a professional barber could have given me a better shave than this - I'm mega-BBS. Needless to say, the Tet-a-tet cream and balsam gave me lots of cooling pleasure, and that classic scent which I love so much, and the Alt Innsbruck has proven itself to me on many occasions that it's a marvellous face-freezer! ;) :D
