Gillette Old Type BRW Improved handle Voskhod (1) Omega 49 Professional - Big Red Williams Mug Soap Alum Superior 70 Bay Rum In honor of Steve picking up a puck of Williams, I broke out my stash of Williams for the shave this evening. It's been close to forever since I have used it. The scent is all but gone having spent the better part of the last year in an OS mug. It was no match for the large boar brush and lathered quickly. As always, it provided a nice slick shave. The face is smooth. My skin feels great. Williams is not my favorite, but it performs far better then its $1 price tag.
Tuesday ... still from Wisconsin! Super Hot Shower Green Marvy Mug Omega Pro Boar AOS Lavender SC Lady Gillette Stars - Pink Gillette Bleue Extra (2) Cool Water Rinse Hyatt Portico Citrus & Lavender Body Lotion I will make the trek back to Florida one of these days ... until then I am plugging away on these evening shaves. I am still shocked at how much closer a shave it is than when I shave in the mornings. Have an awesome evening everyone!
My first SOS in a pretty long time - Merkur Progress - set on 3 Voskhod - 1 TGN Silvertip Badger Tet-A-Tet Shave Cream Nivea AS Balm Brut AS It's been a while since I've done one of these but even though I've been bouncing around between different creams and soaps etc..., I've been using the Progress every day since it came in the mail over 2 weeks ago (thanks again Jeff!). In my opinion it is by FAR the nicest piece of razor I have had the pleasure to lay my hands on. It gives me far closer shaves than any other razor with less irritation, and I can comfortably use on several different settings. I love the heft and balance of it, the smoothness of the head, and I love the look. Truth be told I don't even mind the plastic knob. Yet. Everything else was great as usual, an easy 4/5 if not better. Also, I can't believe the quality of the pictures these freakin smart phones are taking! Dang!
Weds 10 August Lord Tech w/ Astra SP (D3) Omega travel boar, face lather TSD-Monkey Farts Soap-Stick AV Blue A three pass shave with one touch up DFS. I got a nick on the first pass of my neck, I haven't done that in awhile, and I didn't see it coming. The AV-blue and proraso ASB didn't seem to work nice togther, so I trying the AV-blue alone today.

Gillette Ball End Old Type - $6 junk store find Voskhod (2) - $.10 for the blade or about $.02 for the shave Omega 49 Professional - $9.50 Williams Mug Soap - $1 Superior 70 Bay Rum - $2.09 Fantastic shave. The shave this evening is proof positive, that a fantastic shave can be had on the cheap. I picked up the razor at a junk shop last weekend. I will be giving it to a buddy of mine that asked me about wet shaving and wanted to make sure it worked. I really enjoy the Voskhod blades, sharp, smooth, and inexpensive. The Omega 49 Professional is a large comfy boar that I enjoy more with each use. Williams, well it takes a bit to figure out, but once it is mastered, it provides a very nice shave. The Superior 70 has become my favorite AS splash. It has a nice light enjoyable scent and is available locally for a pittance. More expensive doesn't always mean better, sometimes it just means more expensive. I would easily rate this shave at 4'/5.
