  1. Are we starting next week's shaves on Sunday?
  2. ROFL...i forgot what day it was...im all discombobulated. That can be merged, or this can be my personal SOS...haha
  3. Sunday:

    Omega Silvertip
    Weishi Chrome/Nacet day 3
    Egyptian Palmolive Menthol S/C
    Vifrex A/S gel

This Egyptian Palmolive Menthol cream is as freezing cold as the Italian version, with as much great lather and skincare, but I don't like the scent at all.
  4. Sunday: Goodfella razor / Wilkinson white lable d1 / Cella Crema da Barba / Generic Pure Badger Brush / Wesly & Scott's Lime A.S. Balm / T & H West Indies Lime A.S.

First time using the Goodfella razor. Plan to use for a week and give a review.
  5. Sunday

Trac 11 all metal retro razor with a Personna U.S. made cartridge
    Pirates Cove lime soap
Omega boar brush with a chrome handle
    Thayers Rose witch hazel
    Old Spice Classic after shave

Pirates Cove soap is only $3 a puck (3 oz) and makes nice easy lather that smells great in the process.
  6. Fixed.
  7. Brush: kent BK4
    Razor: Slim Adjustable

    Proraso Green cream
    50's style SS/fresh Crystal blade
    Nivea Replenishing balm

  9. After the usual 1-2 minute hot towel prep:

    Shavemac 22mm silvertip
30's style open comb Aristocrat/ Iridium
AOS lemon SC (with added lemon EO)
    LT AS
    Storer 'Monk' EdP

Hehe, that open comb was calling to me this morning, so what could I do? I did try an Iridium this time, instead of the 7 0'clock as before. The Iridium worked better for me......similar cutting effectiveness, but a bit more comfortable as well. I was tempted to toss a feather in this thing (haven't tried that combo..... yet), but the Iridium was a good choice.

I've used a few open combs for about 10 shaves now, and there's a definite difference in how my face feels afterward. It IS a closer shave, but there's a slight feeling of tightness when finished that I get more often than not. It isn't noticeable with my fatboy, or other less aggressive razors used in the past. It's not a big thing at all, but it's there. The deal is though............man, my face is amazingly smooth after using an open comb. I should also mention no post irritation occurred either, which is important.

This AOS lemon sample had lost almost all fragrance, so I fixed that right up with a nice boost of the same EO added to it. Hehe, yeah, another weapon to pull outta the arsenal..........pretty handy for a giant blast of LEMON. I may have used just a tad too much, but it was still more fun than no scent at all. I'm just amazed at how this AOS product makes such an incredible lather. Sigh, I'm gonna have to buy some of this soon.

Anyway, quite a pleasant and gratifying shaving experience,
    Martin
  10. May God bless the mod who moved my SOTD post back to this Thread--I made a big mistake earlier this morning, and I appreciate the repair job! :D

  14. Sunday Jan. 4, 2009 11:30am

    Brush: B&B Essential
Blade: Red IP like on day 12
    Razor: Slim Adj. 9/1
    Cream: TSD peppermint cream
    AS Splash: TSD polynesian red
    AS Balm: SCS Nutriment
    Cologne: T&H 1805
  15. A little late, but my 1/3 evening shave:
    Fatboy w/ Bic Chrome
    C&E BBB
    TSD Almond SS
    Alum Block
    T&H 1805 ASB sample

I finally found a good combination for both the Fatboy and Bic. Hadn't had a really good shave with the Fatboy yet, and the Bic didn't match well at all in my SuperSpeed or Knack. Go figure the blades Mastermute sent with the Fatboy would work well in the Fatboy. Makes me want to try a couple other "harsh" blades in the Fatboy.

  19. Sunday:

Gillette 1958 TV razor / Gillette Swede blade

  20. Sunday 1/4 . . .

    • [*]Prep: Rite Aid Skin Cleansing Cream & Hot Towel
[*]Brush: Knotty Badger refurbished Ever Ready 300 in Silvertip
      [*]Cream: SCS Verbena
      [*]Razor: '40 Gillette Regent Tech
      [*]Blade: Gillette 7 O'Clock SharpEdge (shave 12)
[*]Oil Pass: Leisureguy's Last-Pass Shave Oil
[*]A/S: Thayer's Rose Petal Witch Hazel Toner & Pinuad Clubman A/S
[*]EDT: TSD Bamboo & Teak EDT

[*]Result: Very nice BBS shave this morning. Took my time and avoided nicks and weepers. The SharpEdge is still going strong on shave 12. Did notice again today that the Verbena SC continues to burn a bit especially around the mouth and mustache area. I can live with that because the scent is sooooo good. The Bamboo & Teak EDT has lasted all day. Great scent here too. Looking forward to tomorrow's shave.
