Thanks, thought I'd 'layer' the products.

Prep: MLSW Sandalwood pre shave butter
    Razor: Gillette Slim (3)

    Blade: Gillette Green
    Brush: RazoRock plissoft
    Soap: SV Cosmo
    Post: Soap Commander Courage Balm

What a great shave this evening. The scent of Cosmo is complex and mysterious, also made a nice thick lather very quickly for a triple milled soap. Used lukewarm water this time, usually go with cold water, but wanted to switch things up a bit. Not quite BBS but in the DFS+ area. Very pleased with the results. Finished up with Courage balm and the menthol felt nice and soothing. Hope everyone had a great shave !

    Head SOTD - 12/14/16
I rarely comment about my regular head shaves, but tonight I had a pretty good one. One of my purchases in 2016 was the head shaving cream sampler pictured here. It is pretty good stuff when I use my Trac II for my scalp. Check it out sometime if you are a head shaver.

    Decadent December!!

    Razor - 1946-47 Gillette Aristocrat
    Blade - [IMG] (2)
    Soap - Mitchell's Wool Fat
Brush - Wolf Whiskers Custom Silvertip
    Post - Alum

Yesterday's shave was so decadent I figured I'd just repeat it. Just change the soap to the Fat and go for it. The PLux is going to provide at least three if not more days of quality shaves and the Aristocrat is always out of this world. The Wolf whipped the Fat into a great lather as always and two passes later I'm near BBS again and loving the feel the lanolin leaves. Alum was quiet again as expected. Tomorrow I'm going to do it again with the Route 66 Sweeney Todd to compare how it leaves my face to the Fat. I read a review of Mitchell's today that claimed there is actually very little lanolin in it, based on its position in the ingredient list. Not sure that's an accurate way to measure but I figured a comparison to Sweeney could give me an idea of which may have more. Just something to try and discover.

Today was my Monday and a good one. I'm settled in where it's warm. No snow in the Lou but temps in the teens and going only to the 20's tomorrow. You'd think it was winter or something!

Im horrible at describing scents but it does remind me of a Tabac like scent in that its got an old school vibe. Its one of my favorites and would definately replace it when this one is done.
