Thanks Guy! It adds the heft needed to keep the progress from being so head heavy. :D

    Odin's Day:

Prep: Hot shower, Neutrogena Invigorating cleanser, TSD Jasmine Sambac Preshave balm
    Brush: Beeline Boar
    Soap: Ginger's Garden Oakmoss
    Razor: FaTip Piccolo Nickel
    Blade: Bolzano Superinox (2)
    Passes: WTG, XTG (4, 5)
Post: Cold water rinse, Bloc Osma Alum, Dickinson's WH, Pinaud Clubman AS splash
    Cologne: Xeryus by Givenchy

I opted to use my boar this AM, in anticipation of a new boar brush coming before too long. It lathered up the Ginger's Garden Oakmoss very well, though the water ratio is a bit trickier for me to get just right when face lathering using a boar; I suspect this is just lack of practice. The Bolzano is still very smooth, but the weepers from yesterday were a little tender, so I stopped after 2 passes, with DFS results and no bloodshed. The Clubman soothed my skin remarkably well.

Prep: Dove Soap, Proraso White Preshave, Hot Towel

    Razor: iKon Shavecraft 102

    Blade: BIC Chrome Platinum

    Brush: Whipped Dog Silvertip

    Lather: Proraso Green Tub

Post: Cold rinse, Alum Stick, Aloe Vera Toner, Witch Hazel+, Proraso Green Balm

    Aftershave: Proraso Aftershave Lotion

Today's was the smoothest shave in memory. BBS 2 pass shave from an outstanding new razor. The iKon Shavecraft 102 Slant arrived yesterday and was immediately inserted into today's SOTD.
    WOW! WOW! :happy036:
I'm sold on this slant. Thanks to the positive recommendation from @RaZorBurn123 on this razor. The slant easily glided across my face on its own weight. It was hard to feel the whiskers being mowed down. Love the weight of the SS head. The shaving angle was easy to keep. It had no problem shaving the hard to reach areas, nose, chin, and jawline. An Italian pre-shave, lather, balm, and aftershave. Feel the Burn! :happy088:

    Wonderful Wednesday Shave...

I lathered up some Cold River Soap Works Select Citrus with my New Oscar11 Boar Beauty. This handle has a root beer almost burnt orange color base. Being from Texas, it reminds me of the Longhorns. I set the executive on 5 and the Gillette black blades made easy work of all stubble. Finished with a splash of Clubman Bay Rum, and ready to make the most of hump day. Have a good one gents.

Stay tuned for another new brush debut tomorrow...

Prep: Hot shower with Nivea Face Wash with menthol, home made PSO
Razor: Star 1912 pat. , French Fau Frame Back straight razor
Blade: GEM PTFE coated SE (2)
Brush: Silver Tip Badger 23mm knot
Soap: Arko Men - Ice Mint
After: Home made ASB, Osage Rub after shave
    Cologne: Avon - Trazarra

Yet another Darn Fine Shave! A fine 2 pass shave with only 1 little weeper. The Silver Tip Badger is very soft and it turned the Arko into a wonderful lather. The Frenchie and the Star did their job admirably. The Osage really brought the freeze and the Trazarra will have me smelling good.

    Have a blessed day!

Prep: Hot shower. Neutrogena face wash. Noxzema as a pre-shave.

    Brush: Turkish #6.

    Lather: Omega Crema di Barba.

Razor: Gillette pre-war Fat Handle Tech in nickel.

    Blade: lLord Platinum.

Post: Cold water; Razorock Alum Block.

    After: Pinaud Clubman.

Decided to go with a classic setup today. Dollar for dollar, it is hard to beat a FHT, Omega Crema di Barba, the Turkish #6 brush, or Pinaud. Had to be a little careful around a spot on the back of my head that I nicked yesterday (getting too lackadaisical with a Feather blade in my vintage Merkur) but other than that, somewhere between BBS and DFS.

Next to my Krona, my FHT is my go-to razor when I need something mild. I find that it rarely causes me irritation or draws any blood, and I love the way it looks. Also, the FHT seems to clean up better than most... I've bought a couple of crappy-looking FHTs that now almost look new after a bit of Maas and a soft cloth.

image.jpg Razor: Gillette Ball End Tech NDC (declared 1947) Birth Year
Brush: Fuller Amber Badger 1920s -1940s
Mug: Old Spice 1985 Cobalt Blue
Cream: Castle Forbes cedarwood & sandalwood cream
    Blade: Feather (2)
Post shave: Thayers Cucumber WH, Jack Black Balm, Vintage Avon 1981 California Perfume Co. Anniversary Bay Rum

The Gillette Tech is a nice mild razor for me even with a Feather blade. The Fuller brush whipped up a thick warm lather in the OS Mug as it was sitting on a wash cloth, for padding, in the sink that was filled with hot water. Very nice two pass shave with some touchup. Warm water rinse and pat dry. Some WH and after cleanup some JB Balm and some Bay Rum. Trying to stay on the Nice list, be good!

Yes a lovely combination :) the razor has a fairly narrow angle in use but once it's dialled in the results are good :happy088:
