    Prep: Warm shower, Cornhuskers Lotion
    Razor: Edwin Jagger 89L
    Blade: Voskhod (2)
    Soap: C.O. Bigelow
    Brush: VDH Boar
    Post: Witch Hazel, Cornhuskers Lotion
    Aftershave: Pinaud Clubman

Very nice shave today. I was running late for church this morning and decided to try a two pass shave. I made my first pass WTG and my second pass was ATG. I finished with a very nice, close shave. It was almost as good and close as a 3 pass shave. I might have to try this again tomorrow.

    Have a great day!

    Razor: Ever ready shovelhead
    Blade: GEM stainless
    lather: proraso red cream
    Brush: HIS synth

This is my first shave with a single edge. It was smooth and effortless, no tug. I didn't feel the blade at all. I only heard the loud hollow sounding blade. It felt a little unusual with its differing angle and big head. It did leave a bit of razor burn especially around the chin. I didn't feel comfortable while shaving with the curvature of my chin ATG. More experience is necessary for me to determine if it is worthwhile shaving with a SE. So far it looks promising and i got a DFS minus a few patches on my chin.

Ten Shaves: FatBoy Adjustable day 2

I decided to keep the FatBoy at six today to see if I could get a more comfortable shave. After my first pass, the FatBoy left more stubble than my MR10, but not by much. I judged it by feeling my skin as I re-wet it before adding lather.
After my second pass XTG, I felt more stubble than usual, and pressed on to my third pass ATG. I decided to spare my neck this pass, since it was still sore from yesterday.
My result is a SAS at best, with lots of lasting irritation. Perhaps I have not found the correct angle - the razor felt fine during the shave, though I must admit I like the audible feedback and feel my MR10 much better.
So far, I'm not impressed, but I won't judge this razor yet. I think I'll switch to a more gentle setting tomorrow, and stick with that until I get the angle down. I might change soaps, too, to see if that will reduce the burn. Tabac and TSD Lanolin do well by my face, so I may choose one of those. I have some HTGAM Lime on the way from B/S/T, so that could also make an appearance.

Prep: warm shower and face wash with Shea moisture scrub
    Soap: LASS Woody Lavender
    Brush: HIS
    Razor: Gillette FatBoy Adjustable
Blade: Gillette 7 O'clock Sharp Edge Yellow
    Post: cold water rinse
AS: TSD Signature Milk, later used Krampert's Finest Frostbite

SOTD 12/22/2013. Looks like it's time for a good lens cleaning on my camera.
~ Second shave with the Mühle R89 Jet using a Voskhod (also 2).
~ No name badger brush whipping up Mühle Shaving Cream, aloe vera.
~ Mühle after shave balm, Sea Buckhorn. Followed by a splash of Pinaud Clubman after shave lotion.
~ Everything finished off with a little Wen styling cream for my hair.

Yesterday I had several first. Shaving with the Jet, using Mühle cream and ASB. Everything worked out so well and paired together very nicely that I knew the only thing I needed to top it off was Clubman AS. Perfect DFS near BBS in two.
I have been working on growing my hair back out for the last few months and have been thinking of a Pompadour (on the smallish side). After seeing how smooth JT looked with his on SNL last night, the decision was made.
Have a great day my friends.
