Smooth as silk, smelling great, and ready to go - my shave today was dedicated to my dear friend Dmitry who sent me these great Russian products. The Everest cream smells sporty and nice and gives super-rich lather with a sufficient cooling effect. Its matching aftershave balm is actually a 2 in 1 because it's also an eau de cologne. The Aqua Velva felt good and frigid afterwards. ;) :D

    Prep: Hot Shower-Stirling Bath Soap
    Soap: Figaro Cream
    Razor: ’66 Gillette Slim “6”
    Blade: Gillette Platinum (3)
    Brush: Omega 10066 Boar
    Aftershave: Figaro AS

WTG-XTG-ATG (adjusted angle for my beard a bit)

I used my Figaro Cream and Aftershave today. Like its cousin, Barbon, both the cream and the aftershave are excellent, and under $10 for both! The 3rd shave with the Gillette Platinum in the Slim was very good again: smooth, close, nick & burn free. The Figaro AS is a nice fresh light menthol finish.

It's nice when a good cream has a matching aftershave. I like that idea a lot! :)

I actually waffle back & forth between the Merkur and the Mühle as to my favorite DE razor. This is problematic when getting tattoos.

    Prep: hot shower
    Razor: WW2 Gillette Khaki
    Blade: Sheffield Special (day 3)
    Brush: Wilkinson Sword
    Soap: Proraso white tub
    Passes: 3 (WTG x2, XTG)
    Post: cold water, Proraso blue

Same setup and results as yesterday's shave, so no complaints.

I did notice that the Sheffield Special has a fair bit of blade exposure in the Gillette, and it is uneven as well. I might switch blades around tonight to see if it the razor or blade causing the poor alignment.

    Prep: Warm shower, Cornhuskers Lotion
    Razor: Edwin Jagger DE89L
    Blade: Voskhod (1)
Cream: Arko Ice Mint and Cremo
    Brush: VDH Boar
    Post: Witch Hazel, Cornhuskers Lotion
    Cologne: British Sterling

I have never been a fan of Cremo at all. I used it 3 times while on a trip and threw it in the back of the cabinet under the sink on my return. I read somewhere that Cremo mixed in with another cream or soap is a wonderful thing and provides a great shave. I gave that a try today and all I can say is that the Cremo is going back under the sink. I added some to my Arko and all it did was make it stink. The whole bathroom smelled like Bayer Children's Aspirin. Anyone remember those orange aspirin that they gave us as children before they found out that aspirin could give you Reye's Syndrome and kill you? The only reason this stuff isn't in the trash is because I know that other people seem to like it, so I figure I'll PIF it to someone one day.

Otherwise, it was a very nice shave. Have a great day!

    Have a great Wednesday, everyone!

Got the edge I wanted on this blade.Very close, smooth and comfortable shave, now i just need to figure out if I did it the hard way. This razor has always gotten wicked sharp but always felt aggressive on my face, not today. Have a good one.

I agree Jeff! Both the Figaro and Barbon creams and aftershaves have become "favorites". You can't beat them for just under $10 for both the cream and the aftershave! Thanks again for the heads up!
