Lloyd, the GEM Clog Pruf was the very first razor I used. ( Inherited from my Dad in 1959 when he got a new Fat Boy that year.) It is one of the best shaving razors GEM put out IMHO. I hardily agree, it is aggressive enough to provide a close clean shave but never irritates. Happy shaves my friend! :happy088:

It's been a while since I used the Slim so I thought I'd give it a go. I got a very good shave, but I just don't enjoy it the way I do the EJ. I think I'll go back to it tomorrow.

    Have a great day!

I was in a super hurry this morning! I thought about it while in the shower and decided to go with the Fusion Gamer. This is the razor I used before switching to DE shaving. I had really forgotten how it shaved because by the time I learned to shave with DE well. I had used it so long. I had forgot the feel of the Fusion.

I noticed a few things, the shaves I get with DE are better, it wasn't the worst shaver, pulled and tugged with a new cart, and it made my stubble grow back softer than with DE or SE.

    Sunday:

Prep: Hot shower, Neuttogena Deep Cleaning Gentle Scrub, Crown Co. Supreme Glide Preshave lotion
    Brush: VDH Boar
    Soap: VDH Unscented
    Razor: Merkur 41c 1904 OC
    Blade: Dorco-300 (3)
Passes: WTG, XTG (5,6) with buffing
Post: Cold water rinse, Dickinson's WH, Lucky Tiger Vanishing Menthol ASB
Cologne: Pegasus by Parfums De Marley

I woke up around 5am today to the dulcet tones of my cat getting sick on my bedspread. Needless to say, I was quickly wide awake and in need of a little cleanup. I decided that pampering myself with the best preshave routine I have available, coupled with the bracing finish of the mentholated Lucky Tiger, was warranted. Surprisingly, two passes brought me to the very brink of a BBS, probably as much a DFS as I can say I've ever had in just two passes. Pegasus isn't my favorite cologne from this house - too much vanilla for my taste - but it pairs well with the vanilla in my leftover shampoo and conditioner.

    Ho Ho Ho,

    just finished my Sunday shave:

    Preshave: Olive Oil
Soap: PannaCrema Fumo Di Londra (Sample)
    Razor: EMIR
    Blade: Hema
    Brush: Mühle 23mm Silvertip Fibre
Aftershave: Bloc Osma Alum Block + Alpa Windsor
    Postshave: Olive Oil

A terrific shave. The Emir is a gentle but very thoroughly rasor. Just as i like it. The sample of the Fumo Di Londra is pure smoke. Normally,i don´t like anything that smells smoky, but this time i´m really surprised. It´s very smoky in the puck, but lathered up there is only a bit smoke that tingles your nose.
I love the feeling of the Alpa Windsor. There are 71% Alcohol in it but it doesn´t dry out your skin.A few minutes after applying there is a "film"on your skin which feels really great. So,i have to say i had much fun shaving with this equipment.

I wish all of you and your loved ones an "Happy 4th Advent".

Take care and enjoy your time.
    Greetings
    Thorsten
