Russia did it - they took a pretty good Bulgarian cream and they improved it fantastically. The Russian version of Viking Blue Ice cream has a very manly scent with extremely rich lather. The cooling sensation is also very enjoyable, especially during the 2nd pass. The matching aftershave has no menthol, but it's very moisturizing and protective. The shaving cream is shown on top, and it's in a slightly darker blue tube.

6. Blade: Pella SS PTFE coated (3); 3 passes
7. Post: Cold water rinse; Captain's Choice Bay Rum mixed w/ California Baby super sensitive face lotion

After using my 3 main brushes last night in a lather-off I decided to let them dry more so I went to my newly acquired $9 Shea Moisture brush, known around these parts as "The Dridecker"! Thanks to the Target iPhone app I was able to locate a Target near my parents that still had some in stock and I picked up two. This brush is very floppy, even more so than my Vulfix 2234 but definitely not soft at the tips. I believe that it's black badger and it will definitely give you some scritch while being quite soft if painting the lather on. It loaded very easily on the MWF and I had great creamy lather. I'm very impressed with this budget brush. I highly suggest that if you can locate one that your den should not be without it.

I like shave sticks but thought there were basicly 3 sizes. There are at least 4. I used to think the larger, lined holders were just over sized (for a Palmolive sized stick) now with the Valobra, I find this is what these containers were ment for. Valobra is a outstanding soap by-the-way.

The Semogue brush is turning out to be a favorite. It made short order of the MWF rewarding me with mounds of lather. The Futur/Schick Chromium combination is superb and left my face BBS. The English Blazer aftershave was included in a recent order from a distributor. I had never heard of it before but it is very interesting. The description of English Blazer is:

A landmark fougere fragrance. It blends cool-warm notes of citrus and lavender, sweet spices and oriental woods. It has been established as a well known masculine fragrance with crisp woody undertones.

One thing that I learned the hard way...a little goes a long way.
