I don't know why I don't use JoAnna's soaps more often, because I owe it to her and to myself. They really are fantastic. This Tea Tree soap has been in my house for several years, and I think this was perhaps the 4th time I shaved with it. My skin felt great after the shave, and the Brut stuff gave me a nice "old-school" scent which I love, but my wife isn't too crazy about it. Ah well..............c'est la vie.

Christmas morning. The crackle of a single edged blade removing whiskers, along with a Santa's beard of superb vintage lather. Smooth, irritation free, as good as it needs to get.

I'm off in a couple of hours for Christmas festivities at the house of my oldest and dearest friends. They were going to have just one festivity, but decided to splurge.

A very nice Christmas shave. The Muhle and Feather combo didn't disappoint. Since it is Sunday, I brought out my DR Harris set to shave with. I couldn't wait to use my Simpsons brush. I saw the box from my parents and wanted to open it right away. I was pleasantly suprised at its size and weight. I thought it would feel similar to my Golden Nib knots...buying couldn't believe the backbone this brush has! It also lathered very nice!
The result of the Christmas shave was a definite BBS!

I enjoyed another excellent shave with the Futur/Schick Chromium combo which was aided no doubt by the superb lather from the MWF. Nothing says Christmas like a healthy splash of Meehan Bay Rhum! Very nice indeed.

Whoa....Apparently I'm still stuck in 'Cheap Week' ha,ha,ha,..But the shave and after glow were fantastic!! If the Caron Edt had been bought in a B&M boutique it could single-handedly blow this shave out of the 'Cheap-Week' waters, but it was a gift....;=D

The Gig-Santa didn't make the scene with as many gigs as I asked for....So unless the New Year's Gig-Baby picks up the slack, I might be stuck in 'Cheap Week' for a while.......But if it never gets worse than this I'm cool...lol...At least shave-wise...

Up at 4 after my night duty sleep. My Christmas celebrations will be tomorrow. Had a BBS today. I decided to go with 3 passes. No burn, nicks or weepers. I think my DEs are beginning to feel neglected! I have really enjoyed this 'cheap week'. The top end manufacturers all seem to have to change their formulations. The cheaper products seem to maintain their good traditional quality. I have a problem now.....I have a shave ready traditional straight.......when do I use it?

Hope all have had a great Christmas.....at least equal to expectations.
