It was actually colder here in northern Calif (21°F) this morning than in Anchorage, Alaska. And I agree with you about the BR scent….although my son said I smell like a christmas fruitcake this morning.

Day 4 with the Bolzano was nearly uncharted territory for me, though the relatively small number of passes to this point had served me well. One pass in, however, and the blade was DONE. It was tugging and skipping, despite excellent lather from the Speick/Simpson combo. I decided to call it quits after the one pass, though I arguably still looked like I needed a shave. At least my skin was untouched enough that the Dickinson's was unnecessary today.

 

There was a one day swing from 80F to 20F in Texas... Meanwhile on the east coast, I am having very Portland, OR like weather. 60F, gray, and drizzling...

First use of the Ogallaga, the scent is strange for a straight Bay Rum. I am pretty sure I smell ceder in their. The consistency is weird as well, it looks like oil on water.

Anybody else used the Ogallaga Cologne? Is this how it is or did I get an off bottle?

 

Sounds like Ogallala to me, that's why you have to shake it up well before each use.

Interesting shave

The lather monster brush did its thing so well today! I got loads of silky thick lather - enough for five passes at least. The MR10 sang its way through the lather with ease, and each between pass rinse indicated a really close and comfortable shave. However, after my final rinse, I got some irritation and part of my neck felt like I missed it despite three plus passes over the area? It leaves me wondering if I lost the angle on that part, but why would it feel smooth during, then rougher after?
Don't get me wrong, overall this was a solid shave, and my face feels good.

This morning I skimped on the menthol but I still had enough of it to enjoy. The Lord Emofresh cream from Egypt is mildly-cooling, and does it ever smell nice. It also lathers like crazy. My Svoboda balm delivers amazing cooling and such soothing skincare every time, and for anyone who likes a really traditionally-scented aftershave, the Booster Polar Ice is your ticket. Another super-duper shave.

Today was going to be German day but.....it's boar week at my house so I didn't quite make it. Rescaled this razor twice now, I didn't care for the first set. This is a very nice shaving razor and needs to be in rotation. Honed on naturals. Have a good one.

The Semogue 1305 brush did an excellent job on face-lathering the Col. Conk lime shave soap. Two passes and touch-ups with the Gillette fat-handled tech and Bluebird Hi-Stainless Platinum blade left me with a near BBS shave. This is my first shave with a Bluebird, and I really liked it. We will see how long it will last. As always, feeling clean and refreshed. ​

Last 3 days I've used some of the best razors I know of...Wed.: Gem Cutlery Co. Damaskeene; Thurs.: EverReady 1914...and today the front-hinged EverReady 1925...I've gotten fantastic shaves from all of them...If I had to pick a favorite.....I'm thinking maybe this ER'24...It's incredible, it's so easy to get fantastic results with... and there's nothing I don't love about it...
