My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Williams Mug Shaving Soap face lathered well with the Jayaruh #2 brush. I did two passes with the RazoRock Black Hawk Razor with a Feather Professional blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Florida Water. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

 

I’m trying to weed out soaps from my den, so I’m rotating through soaps I haven’t used in a while to see if they are worthy of the cut. Chiseled Face Cinnawood Baroka, while not an “elite” soap, still has a freaking awesome scent that is hard to describe. It is going nowhere, and fit in just fine with the Decadent December theme.

Catie’s Bubbles La Terre Verte today. 20 seconds to load the John’s Brushes Silvertip brush. Easy, thick, slick, lather. Gillette Silver Blue in the Gillette “Black Beauty”. Excellent smooth, close, shave. I finished with Stirling Executive Man aftershave.

There must've be been a glut of candles in the Astra factory because the amount of wax holding the blade to the wrapper was astounding.
No worries though as the shave was very good.

Awesome finish on that GP scuttle. I've been using a G-12 for a few years but don't remember that finish being offered by GP at the time I got mine. Scuttle envy setting in...

Mine is kind of blah by comparison.
