Haha no we were there for a medical treatment for my wife. We stayed in a local bed and breakfast that was outstanding.

I had some of the best food ive ever had in my life while in bologna.

The owners of the b&b became good friends and took us to their house for a traditional Sunday dinner. Absolutely amazing.

    Thank you.

I have a ton of traditional barbershop scents and love them. I was just wondering if it was a little different.

Bologna region is one of my two best places for food and imagine you enjoyed it.

And I did not know someone was still doing traditional Sunday dinners: maybe they set it up for their American friends...

Next time, though, ask me first: my rates are cheaper!

I would recommend it then. True, it's barbershop at it's core but Peter did put his own spin on it.

    So today I used
    Edwin Jagger DE 89
Tabac Shaving Soap (all time fave so far)
Admiral olive extract pre shave dropped in Tabac!
    Urban Jack face Moisturiser
    Alfred Lane Brio solid Cologne
    QTB Brush
    Astra Superior Platinum
Had a far far nicer shave tonight using the Astra blade I felt more in control of the razor with this blade good combination!

Sounds very nice Matt. I love orange and may have to pick it up. Too often then orange scents are very artificial like a candy or lollipop.

Thank you Doug. It was nice having a normal shave again and the CK-6 is just what the doc ordered.

Scent is subjective and at first I was a bit bummed because my son said it smelled like Big League Bubble Gum Chew and I could not get that reference out of my head - because off the puck it does have a strong resemblance. Once lathered up it smells more like their Atomic Bay Rum with a sweet component. On its own I would rate it about an 8, but when compared to their other bay rum type offerings like Atomic, Boomtown, Kiritimati, or even the holiday scent Magi, I would pick those over Nog and give Nog maybe a 6. Just because the other scents are better for my taste.

The performance of the CK-6 is the best in my opinion against any soap I have tried. Very lush, creamy, slick, and fast to load. The post is outstanding. I hated that PAA increased the price substantially and made me buy more 5oz over 4oz, but I still order the CK-6. The objective was to raise the margins and increase transaction prices - otherwise why make me buy 25% more of something 34% more expensive. I almost did not order CK-6 with the Astro Traveler currently in transit to me, but caved in and changed my cart last minute. All their soaps are outstanding performance wise:

Formula Cost oz $/oz Price Increase
    Standard 14.95 4 3.74 Base
    CK-6 24.95 5 4.99 34%

I truly believe the CK-6 was just a money grab in my opinion and the base formula is still one of the best. It is like how PAA charges more for a handful of scents but does not give a price break on the scentless products. It should be noted that the plastic tins are also cheaper and the lid on the Nog is very flimsy - another cost cutting measure I'm sure. I buy a lot of their products so I notice these things. Don't get me wrong, I still think PAA makes the best overall products and add a lot of fun to the hobby. I do give them credit for also making nicer aftershave bottles and even placing them in a more upscale box. A classy move.

Sorry for the diversion lol. Nog is great stuff and the performance is second to none.

Big thanks. I also love their ck-6 soap. Their afs are stout - and they are very creative with their line up and marketing. Thanks Steve
