    Shaving recipe for today.

Prep: Warm shower:/Asda Sea Salt & Fennel Extract 2 in1 Shower Gel.

    Pre:
Cold wet flannel to my face.
    Pears Transparent Bar Soap.
    Brush: Anbbas Boar.
    Face Lather.
    Lather: Palmolive Classic Shave Sticks.(grated)
Blade: Super Max Blue Diamond Titanium.( D1)
Razor: Weishi 2.0 Adjustable (settings) Max-wtg,7-atg,6,-pick ups.

    Post:
Cold water face wash with brush squeezing's, Cold Water Face Rinse. /Homemade (~Autumn/Winter mix~) peppermint lavender, eucalyptus, + Tea Tree essential Oils Mixed Together With 200ml of Care+Witch Hazel./ Superdrug Forest Fresh ASL./Cien Sensitive ASB.

    Greetings,

    ( winter solstice shave)

It's been a while since i last used the Weishi 2.0 Adj..I find the higher settings are more suited to my mature skin type. I have an array of in-expensive Chinese clone razors which all provide me with acceptable shaves....The Weishi 2.0 is one i should add to my razor rotation more regular.

Everything in my shave set up worked together superbly this morning resulting in a 2 pass + pick ups close comfortable shave with no errors to report...Finishing the shave off with a small dollop of Cien Sensitive ASB.

My face is feeling smooth & smelling divine.;)

Stay safe keep warm, and enjoy the winter solstice ladies & gentlemen.

Razor: Yaqi V3 Adjustable (The Final Cut)
    Blade: Wizamet
Brush: Fluffy Industries 86/Maggards Premium Boar
    Soap: Stirling Texas on Fire
    AS 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla 70
AS 2: Stirling Texas on Fire
    Fragrance:
    Consecutive Daily Shaves - # 1140

So we are using a new razor today as well as the inaugural shave with the Fluffy Industries 86 Handle with a Maggards 24mm Premium Boar Knot. Using a manly brush like this calls for a Manly Soap Scent and Texas on Fire was summoned for duty. What an amazing shave I had from the brush handle (A heavy Beast) to the 1st use (1 test lather) Boar Knot to the Yaqi Adjustable. The scent was a bonus and will be enjoyed all day as I run the continuing chainsaw massacre on the hillside here.

The Brush: This handle is a heavy beast as I said but it feels great in the hand and looks amazing as well. I put a spit shine on mine and we'll see if I keep it shiny or let patina have it's way. Can't thank Ken enough for his generosity in sharing it and his creativity in his designs. The Knot had a single and short test lather after a hour soak in some water yesterday and lost 1 hair then. Today during the shave, clean up and towel strop it lost...............................again a SINGLE hair. That's amazing for a new boar knot. On top of that it feels soft already with zero pokey feeling and will only get better as it breaks in. This one is a keeper and I'm stoked I got the right knot set in this handle right from the get go.

    The Razor:
After reading about some saying 4 is a good starting point so I decided to follow suit. I can say I was pleasantly surprised by the shave after several strokes and thought this has some possibility. I can see how it might feel rough if set higher and will need to see as I experiment with it. That said I had a GREAT shave with it. ZERO weepers and ZERO irritation and a glass like finish after 3 passes. This one is a winner for me. Does it beat my Gibbs out ? NO. I had done the pass around with the Rex Ambassador and it to me was harsh. Then the Envoy which is supposed to be the Rex on setting 3. I didn't see that at all as the Envoy gave a great shave. Was the pass around razor before tweaking took place? Has my technique improved since then? I don't know. I don't have a Rex to compare to it now. I do know, I wasn't a new shaver when it was tested and this from memory feels a bunch better. Is the build quality as good? NO. But there is a huge price difference. Some compared it to the Pearl Flexi which I also owned and sold. The build on the Flexi is probably better as well being brass but the weight was crazy heavy on it and the shaves were so so for me. I got a better shave from the Yaqi myself and that's just me. Will be continuing to try other settings as well but setting 4 was a winner for me for comfort and closeness of the shave.
Hope everyone has a Stupendous Day !!!

SOTD TUESDAY MORNING, DECEMBER 21, 2021

A happy Winter Solstice to all in the northern hemisphere. I'm grateful for all the friends I’ve made in this great hobby of ours over the years. My Christmas wish to all is that you and yours remain safe and healthy in these trying times.. The pandemic is again surging here in the states. Enjoy the holidays as best you can!

We all have have these special razors that arrive in our shave dens over the years. This A. Witte Copperhead 6/8 arrived sveral years ago with a note in the accompanying coffin box that stated, “Honed by Henerey 1939”. The razor enjoyed an existing decent bevel, that I touched up on my then single jasper stone with a series of successively diluted slurries.

Since then the edge has been refined on my Naniwa 12K and 9 Ball Slate. Various trips through the constroption have only served to refine the buttery smooth edge on this razor. My mug shave this morning was a delight. Two and a half slow and pleasant passes and my mug was porcelain smooth. The Leresche 77 has always been a very smooth shaving safety razor, and two ATG noggin passes left me velveteen smooth from dome to shoulders.

RAZOR: A. Witte Copperhead 6/8 (Mug), Leresche 77 (Dome)
    BLADE: Feather DE (Dome)
PREP: Cold water rinse followed by a heavy scrub with Argan Oil
    BRUSH: Viking Silvertip Badger
    SOAP: Mitchell’s Wool Fat
POSTSHAVE: Cold water wash with brush squeezings followed by a rinse with Humphreys Lilac WH. Finished with Alt-Innsbruck AS Splash.

Thank you, Jeff. Not ivory, but some kind of bone. I got this from Glen and honestly don't know.

    Tuesday morning:

    L’Oreal Men Expect Facial Wash
    Frank Mini Brush
    Super Speed/King C. Gillette day 14
    Ingram SC
    Prep ASB
    Fine Snake Bite AS Splash
    Bleu de Chanel Deodorant Stick
    Bleu de Chanel Parfum

This little Frank brush worked up terrific lather from the Egyptian version of Ingram cream - the scent of this stuff is pretty much identical to the discontinued British one, the menthol sensation is actually stronger, and the skincare is excellent. The Prep never lets me down - its so moisturizing and soothing, I love the scent, and there’s no shortage of menthol in it either, not to mention how frigid the Snake Bite aftershave is. The King C. Gillette blade only allowed me two passes before it crapped out on me but I ended up very smooth!

Have a good day - be well and safe!
