This Goodfella has been sitting around here for at least ten years and today it was time to give it a spin. It’s made in New Zealand, it’s a very mild razor, and the last time I used it was when I travelled on business to Greece. The Vintage Spice soap is a real treat - the scent is so gorgeous just like the discontinued Shulton Old Spice soap, it gives a boatload of thick, rich, creamy, mega slick lather, and such a comfortable postshave feeling. The Aveeno moisturizer is unscented and so soothing, while the Vintage Spice aftershave is witch hazel based so there’s no burning or stinging, and it’s delightful scent lasts almost all day. Three passes gave me a dynamite BBS shave that I enjoyed so much!

Two passes and touch ups with the Supply SE Injector and the Supply Black Label Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Aqua Velva Iced Blue AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

an absolutely wonderful shave to kick off my Xmas.. I haven't used the Eventide or the Astra in quite a while, and I'd actually forgotten how flawless their performance is. The Eventide is in the Glissant base, if my memory serves me well, and performed even better than I remember, and the Astra makes me wonder why I stopped using it for so long.. Merry Xmas everyone.

Lather: Palmolive Classic Shave Stick.

Christmas Day Greetings,

As on all Christmas day's since i was a kid, i have always been a early riser due to the festive excitement, now it's my ageing body clock that awakes me.
To be totally honest unlike most people I assume, I don't do Christmas anymore. I know for fortunate people it's full of joy and plenty especially for most children and yet so painful and horrible for others.

However, as they say in my neck of the woods 'I'll put a face on' for the Christmas festive season so I don't spoil it for the people who still enjoy it, and most importantly for those who still think Santa Claus is the real deal. Which is something that should never be spoilt as for a child it's the best feeling in the world.

A wonderful Christmas day shave with some of my favourite new old, and infrequently used wet shaving assortments.

The humble grated Palmolive classic shave stick provided a superb protective lather in a short space of time leaving a good post shave feel.

Finishing to the shave off with a few small dollops of Nivea Men Replenishing PSB.

My face is feeling silky smooth & smelling divine.

Later, but soon i will be venturing out to the family gathering to help prepare the Christmas dinner, my multi tasking-skills come in useful at certain times' and take part in the festive activities, then as i always try to do, catch up on some well earned rest.

This Gada Cool Mint cream is a delight - although I became mostly a soap user since quite a while there are still certain creams that I insist on keeping in my rotation and this is one of them. This is probably the cheapest cream on Planet Earth, it’s from Lebanon and it has a lovely lemony/minty scent, the lather works up so thick, rich, slick, and protective, there’s a nice menthol sensation, and it leaves the skin feeling so comfortable thanks to the chamomile in it. The Nip Man balm also smells nice and minty, it’s very cooling, and it’s so moisturizing as well as soothing. The Alt Innsbruck aftershave smells gorgeous, (at least to me although the wife don’t care for it!) and it’s loaded with menthol. Finally a couple of spritzes of the Aramis and I was good to go. Three passes with my Goodfella left me 100% BBS - what a dynamite shave this was!

Razor: Ever-Ready Streamline // Blade: GEM Stainless // Soap: Shulton Old Spice // Brush: Jayaruh Synthetic // Aftershave: Shulton Old Spice

I have no words for this shave. Outstanding Soap and Aftershave. Got these both as a Christmas present from my Mom. Performes just like soaps today. Fantastic glide, the lather was thick and rich. The scent was a bit muted, but due to the age of this soap, it should not wonder.

The razor is extremely smooth and gentle and pairs nearly perfect with the blade. 3 wonderful passes.

The alum block did not gave ANY feedback. Fantastic.

Splashed on the Aftershave and enjoyed the scent. This is a setup only for special occasions.

Have a good time, enjoy your shaves and stay safe and healthy.
