The TSD Iced Lime Shave Stick lathered well with the Jayaruh #423 Two-band Badger Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Darwin-Handle Gillette Old Type and a Personna Super Blade (71) gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Osage Rub. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

The Variant/Silver Star combo is a winner for me, comfortable/close/smooth. I like it. The Vie-Long Silvertip I've had for quite some time but just haven't used much. It seems I like synthetics more BUT this little brush is a wonder. Great face feel and lathers like a champ. Good brush for sure. The Irish Tweed SS works just great and a fine shave was had to start the week with. My face is very happy. Now go enjoy your day folks.

 

Know that is one of a kind handle, nice to look at and thanks for sharing!

Razor : Gem Junior bar lather catcher - Mfg 1907-11, mild range. Great razor for that time era and workmanship detail is excellent for scrolling on the back. I like to use my lather catchers when fresh blade is 1-3 uses to produce close comfortable shaves it seems most of the time, Newbies might not think so but seasoned shavers would agree IMO. The razor performs just as good as 110 years ago or better with the Gem SS PTFE blade(Gem did not offer coated blades back then). Had a close comfortable shave this morning.
Blade : Gem Personna SS PTFE (2) very sharp, great longevity, smoooths out nicely, predictable + safest blade to handle.
Soap : Razorock Lavender- nice masculine scented lavender with excellent lather qualities.(obsolete) on my 3rd and last tub.
Brush : Yaqi "Aqua" 24mm 3band badger. Excellent lather generator, soft pillow like tips, great splay scrubber + great lather painter. I think this 3band badger is a better lather painter than scrubber IMO.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Ach Brito Lavada with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Had a close comfortable shave this morning with my Gem Jr bar lather catcher with a Gem coated blade.

The reason why there are no labels on this Wintergreen soap tub and aftershave bottle is because they were made exclusively for me by my dear brother Fernando in Joburg, South Africa. The scent is the same beautiful wintergreen as the Stirling Glacial type, and this soap is also tallow based, it gives the same awesome, slick lather, but the menthol sensation is so bloody intense that it actually passes the Glacial Wintergreen - wowwwwwww. The Glacial Wintergreen balm gives a tremendous amount of menthol freeze also with lots of soothing and moisturizing. Fernando’s Wintergreen aftershave is the COLDEST I ever used - it makes the Arctique from B&M feel almost insignificant. Finally the Givenchy Gentleman fragrance which my aunt gave me as a birthday gift a few years ago and I’m ready for the new week. Three passes with the new Derby blade gave me one lulu of a great face freezing BBS shave that only a menthol monkey like me could enjoy and appreciate!
