An excellent three pass BBS shave with this cheap Junjie razor. The Derbys are actually great blades - they’re sharp but smooth and forgiving. This Vintage Spice soap and aftershave are delightful.

DE SOTD, Thursday, December 28th 2023

Razor : Razorock 2nd Generation Lupo.72- MFG Jan 2021>, mid range. Excellent machining and finish QC. Checks all the boxes for what I want in a DE razor. Had a stellar close comfortable shave this morning!
Blade : Gillette Nacet (4) sharp and smoooth with great longevity.
Soap : Razorock Irish Countryside, nice clean unique scent with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi " Robin" 24mm boar bristle. Excellent lather generator, soft split end bristle tips, nice splay scrubber + great lather painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Razorock Irish Countryside with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Had stellar a close comfortable shave this morning with my RR Lupo.72 with a Nacet blade.

First time using the HC & C soap and it made a nice thick lather.

This was also my first time using a Perma-Sharp blade. I know a lot of people like them, so I was interested to give them a try. First impression was that it is less sharp than the Gillette Wilkinson Sword blade that I used yesterday. It was sharp enough and fairly smooth. It seemed similar to an Astra, which is a blade that I like in the Henson. I typically use a blade three times, so we see how it goes.

The Cella Shave Soap lathered well with the Red and Black Badger Brush by Tom. Two passes and touch ups with the Red and Black OT by T. White and a Pro 500 Super Platinum Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Cella After Shave Balm. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
