Looks like you picked up a Yaqi Romulus, I noticed you mentioned a Feather Super pro. How did it shave mild, mid or aggressive range with a super pro?

 

SE SOTD, Saturday, December 30th 2023

Razor : TNNSER 3D printed SE by Tom White, Mfg 2020>, mid range. Tom did a nice job of designing this with other folks who worked on the handle design from my understanding. Tom has designed a lot of different razors over the years . Had a close comfortable shave this morning.
Blade : Gem Personna SS PTFE (5) very sharp with excellent longevity.
Soap : TOBS Sandalwood cream, nice herbal sandalwood scent with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "Bali" 24mm 3band silvertip badger. Excellent lather generator, luxury pillow like soft tips, nice splay scrubber + excellent lather painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Proraso red sandalwood with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Had a close comfortable shave this morning with my TNNSER razor with a coated Gem blade.

Bowl: Tesco's Ceramic 'Cosmo' Side Bowl.
Lather: Bath House Spanish Fig & Nutmeg Shaving Soap.
Blade: Gillette Super Blue. (D2)
Razor: King C. Gillette.

Post:
Cold water face wash with brush squeezing's, Cold Water Face Rinse. /Homemade (~Autumn/Winter mix~) peppermint lavender, eucalyptus, + Tea Tree essential Oils Mixed Together With 200ml of Care+Witch Hazel./Baylis & Harding Black Pepper & Ginseng ASB./ Ard Al Zafraan Oud 24 Hours EdP.

A wonderful performance from the King C. Gillette/Gillette Super blue duo to finish my last shave of 2023 in style.

Finishing the shave off a with a few small squirts of Ard Al Zafraan Oud 24 Hours EdP to the pulse points.

My face is feeling super smooth & smelling divine.

Two passes and touch ups with the Superior Lather Catcher and a Personna GEM SS PTFE Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Cella After Shave Balm. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Aqua Velva Ice Blue AS Splash

A few years ago I received this Rondavel soap from South Africa and it’s actually nice. Before I lathered up I washed my face with it, the scent is outdoorsy and pleasant, it lathers very well although it’s not too slick, and it has fairly decent postshave care. The Proraso Blue balm gave me great moisturizing and soothing while the Aqua Velva went on with a delightful chilly punch. All in all a super duper three pass BBS shave to close out 2023!

Razor : Yaqi Excalibur SE 50mm AC blade with a Yaqi Milano SSP handle. Mfg 2021>, tame mid range. Simple blade clamping system, small head parts, ( I work over a wash cloth to assemble & disassemble blade to head parts for easier use.) This little razor works very well with a Schick proline blade. Had a close comfortable shave this morning.
Blade : Schick proline p 30 (5) sharp and smooth with reasonable longevity.
Soap : Cyril R Salter Wildrose cream. Nice rose scent with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "Artic sky" 24mm synthetic, Excellent lather generator, luxury heavenly cloud like soft tips, Gentle splay scrubber + excellent lather painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Italian barber Amici with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers= Had a close comfortable shave this morning with my Yaqi Excalibur with a Schick proline blade.
