Cold wet flannel to my face & head.
Pears Transparent bar Soap.
Brush: Chinese Unbranded horsehair.
Face & Head Lather.
Lather: Blue's Shaving Soap.
Blade: Dorco Prime Platinum. (D1)
Razor: Baili BD177 Rose Gold TTO.
Razor: Gillette Guard. (Head) (D1)

Post:
Cold Water Face & Head Rinse./Cold water face & head wash with brush squeezing's,/Alum Rub./Cold Water Rinse./Homemade (~Autumn/Winter mix~) peppermint lavender, eucalyptus, + Tea Tree essential Oils Mixed Together With Care+Witch Hazel./P&G Old Spice Hawkridge ASL./Creightons Sensitive PSB.

A new shave set up to start the Weekend.

A very in-expensive eclectic shave set up where everything worked together wonderfully.

Another close comfortable face & head shave with no errors to report.

Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Creightons Sensitive PSB.

My face & precious swede are feeling smooth and smelling divine.

Same setup, back to back shaves, varying only the blade

Prime Platinum was competent, not as smooth as some others

The Feather works better for me with this 1947 Aristocrat

First use of the PR Wood and Spice products, no complaints, just solid PR stuff

The b-pure Shave Soap lathered well with the SlimGem 3D Printed Badger Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Supply SE Injector razor and the Supply Black Label Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Old Spice Cologne. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

This VGH stuff from the Netherlands has been around for over 450 years so I would say that the company is doing something right. The scent is so old school and classy, the stick lathers like a champ, and it’s very skin friendly. The matching balm has the same lovely scent, it’s very soothing as well as moisturizing, and it’s mildly mentholated. The VGH aftershave spray unfortunately was discontinued and I feel sad about that because it’s so delightful - the same scent as the soap and balm. Another A1 three pass BBS shave that was so pleasurable!

DE SOTD, Saturday, December 14th 2024

Razor : Yaqi Mellon OC Self lubricating head 316 SSP + a Yaqi Chippendale 316 SSP handle. Mfg 2023>, mid range. Excellent machining, design + finish. I very much enjoy the audio feedback of this razor head.
Blade : GSB(3) sharp and smooth with reasonable longevity.
Soap : Yaqi Black pearl, very interesting scent, hard for me describe the fragrance but like it the more I use it + excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "Deep stones" 24mm boss knot. Nice handle with a certain darkness that is not aspiring to myself but knot works well for my shaving needs.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : witch hazel beard cleanse + Yaqi Black Pearl splash + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers= Had a close comfortable shave this morning with my Yaqi Mellon razor with a GSB blade. Great shave to start the day.
