SE Sunday shave, December 22nd 2024

Razor : Yaqi Excalibur SE 50mm with Yaqi Milano 316 SSP handle. Mfg 2021>, tame mid range. Very affordable, recommend the chrome head it seems to glide well and I get better results.
Blade : Kai Captain mild pink (3) sharp and smooth with great longevity. Very nice blade in the 50mm range.
Soap : Razorock M.F, nice cologne scented croap with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "ever helpful" 22mm 2band badger. Great brush who enjoy the scrub with a smaller handle.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Razorock M.F splash with witch hazel+ a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers= Had a close comfortable shave this morning with my Yaqi Excalibur razor + Kai CTMP 50mm blade. Very enjoyable shave visiting my old favorite Excalibur razor.

The Proraso Green Shave Soap lathered well with Tom's B400 Two-band Badger Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Bunny V3 Injector razor and the Supply Black Label Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Humphrey's Witch Hazel and Mennen Skin Bracer After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Razor : Gem G bar. Mfg 1955-58, mild to tame mid range. Excellent razor to pass through generations and still work.
Blade : Gem Personna SS PTFE(4) very sharp, excellent longevity, smooths out nicely, predictable + safest blade to handle.
Soap : Razorock MF croap, very nice scented cologne type soap with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "Moka Express" 26mm Husky knot. Just all around excellent brush that was made with small batch(never see them for sale).
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave :Razorock MF splash with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers= Had a close comfortable shave this morning with my Gem G Bar razor with a coated Gem blade. Nice razor to start the day!

Not the coldest setup but still cold enough to satisfy my menthol craving. My dear brother Abir in Kolkata, India is the owner of Captain Nemo Shaving Supplies and he produces GREAT soaps and aftershaves. This Blend 47 has a very nice eucalyptus scent - even nicer than Proraso Green, the soap is vegan based with excellent lather that’s very slick, the menthol sensation is at a good middle of the road level, and it’s very skin friendly. The matching balm is really cold but not to an overwhelming point and it’s very moisturizing as well as soothing. Finally a little of the Obsession fragrance and that’s it, that’s all. I did only two passes but I still got an awesome BBS shave!
