Pulled out the QCS Iced Key Lime which I haven't used in 2 months and had forgotten how cold this sucker can get. Decided to bypass the X2 Iced Mojito AS I had initially planned on using as I was not prepared for a real eye opener this morning and went with Dominica Lime Bay Rum instead. Not quite ready to face the masses this morning and now on my 3rd cup of coffee. Going to be a long day ....

Yes Ryan, I have to say it shaves more comfortable, close and effortless than my Fusion Proglide! Now that I'm getting better lather (using a different technique) I once again experience the grandeur of the traditional wet-shave. My face sings like no other when using the Faboy set at 5 with a good lather or Barbasol. It took me a couple of days to get the setting and angle just right, but wow, this Fatboy is the bee's knee's. It has singlehandly brought my love for the DE shave back. Aces!

I'm glad you found something that works greatly for you. It's all about enjoying the shave. Another thing I love about adjustable razors is that you get several razors in one. Congrats! ;)

    Boar Brush Week.
Prep - Warm shower followed by Shave Secret.
Lather provided by - L'Occitane en Provence Cade shaving soap using a vintage un-dyed boar brush with matching mug.
Razor - GEM Micromatic, open comb using a Treet blade (2 or 3).
Post - Clinique moisturizer and a splash of Clubman Special Reserve.

I hadn't used this brush in quite some time and after I started I remembered why. The last 3 or 4 times it has been shedding. Started with just a few a while back and I bet it lost 15 hairs this round. So, it wasn't a perfect shave but I knew that the OCMM wouldn't let a few extra strands affect it's performance so it was still pretty dang good!
My Grand Mother gave me this brush/mug combo 3 or 4 years ago so now I need to decide if I want to re-knot it or set it aside. The handle isn't really anything special, in fact it has a few small cracks towards the knot so chances are I'll just sit it aside.

Didn't have time to shave this morning, but low and behold the bawx showed up and I had to try out some of my new goodies. Slammed the BB to 9 and did a 3 pass 98% BBS shave. The LV sure is an interesting elixir to say the least and it'll take me a few uses to pass judgement on it.:happy036:

Excellent shave with this setup, as usual. Only 2 passes, WTG, I still don't feel enough confident to go ATG with this OC even if it's not very aggressive.

The Gillette New rates towards the very top of my list. I have a feeling you will enjoy it more and more with each shave.

    Prep: Hot Shower
    Soap: Stirling Spice
    Razor: ’66 Gillette Slim (6)
Blade: Super-Max Blue Diamond Platinum (2)
    Brush: Whipped Dog Silvertip
    Aftershave: Stirling Lavender Sage

WTG-XTG-ATG (adjusted angle for my beard a bit)

This was shave number 2 with the Super-Max Blue Diamond Platinum blade. I went with Stirling Spice today. The BDP blade gave me another close, nick & burn free shave. It is not as smooth as some, but there was no tugging. I finished with Stirling Lavender Sage AS. This witch hazel and aloe based aftershave is a change for me. The other aftershaves I use have alcohol and some have menthol also. This left me feeling “unfulfilled”. I guess I am not a pure witch hazel kind of guy.

Another fine shave with my Schick M Adjustable. The Colonel came through as well. The Frank Shaving brush face-lathered the Colonel for two passes with no need for touch-ups. I finished off with Thayers Cucumber WH and then Aqua Velva Ice Blue AS. I'm clean, smooth, and refreshed. All ready for Christmas.

    Prep: hot shower
    Razor: WW2 Gillette Khaki
    Blade: Astra SP (day 3)
    Brush: Wilkinson Sword
    Soap: Col Conk lime
    Passes: 3 (WTG x2, XTG)
    Post: cold water, alum

Back to the Astra today. I really like this blade.

I didn't get as good a lather form the Col Conk today, too much water. The lime sent of the Col Conk did seem to last longer today however, which was nice.

A little bit of irritation and one nick with today's shave. :( the nick was my fault, trying to get fancy.

There was a wee bit more sting with the alum today as well, and man does my face dry out when I don't use and AS balm! Going to have to pick some more up soon...

A great shave dedicated to my dear friend Dmitry who sent me this wonderful Russian stuff. The Phyto Expert cream may not have the kind of scent I really like, but does it ever lather terrific and give a nice cooling sensation with awesome skincare. Its aftershave balm is so good for sensitive skin, and it's also quite cooling and VERY moisturizing and protective. The Aqua Velva felt so icy and nice afterwards. ;) :D

It was my first time using the GFT and the Simpson's lotion. The GFT has a cologne type scent to it but it smelt good, not over powering. Worked up tons of thick lather very quickly. The Simpson's lotion I received when I purchased my Jubilee, rightfully so, it was an expensive. It seemed to do just fine when compared to my usual RazoRock AS wax. It doesn't have much of a smell to it, but moisturized well.
