    Herm, one suggestion might be a sharper blade. Mild razor, sharp blade. Try a Feather or Personna Med Prep.

    Soap-TSD Iced Mojito

    Day number two with my birth year Super Speed. After yesterday's debacle I took the advice I've received here to heart; all stuff I should have known, but...

    Today was easy-does-it. Barely any pressure, paying real attention to angle. After a month of shaving with the massively heavy Ikon 102 this razor is like a feather. A 2 pass shave with touch-ups, probably DFS. No weepers, no pain to speak of. Maybe I chalk yesterday up to user error.

    BTW the TSD Iced Mojito is awesome.

    I just got a Gem Bullet Tip yesterday (final purchase hopefully until next year). I have a few other SE razors (Gem Feather Weight, 1912 & Jr. w/Bakelite handle) but have never used one. I have a new pack of Personna SS blades too. One of the goals of not buying anything this year is to use and appreciate what I already have. I'll definitely being trying my SE's in 2016!
