My Dec 30, 31, and ALL of January 2015 shaves!!! See the January 30 day challenge. Quite the learning experience so far. I am really enjoying the process. I found the Shick injector shaves to be almost too easy, getting DFS to BBS shaves with no really effort. Now I have to learn better technique with the Gem Clog Pruf!

The first shave of the new year;2015!
Although I made a great and yogurty lather with Nivea, Isana razor blade felt like I was shaving with Derby blade and I had lots of irritation. That irritation may also because of my daily shaves during the week, I don't know.

It's to bad about the irritation. That Nivea provides me great protection. Great lather.

Happy new year! May this 2015 bring you all a very prosperous and magnificent year! I started the new year in the very best way possible: a Mastro Livi straight razor, Mastro Livi Brush, Martin De Candre Soap and my humble Bay Rum Aftershave. I could not ask for more and I got the best shave ever. Not to mention, how sharp this magnificent RWL34 straight razor is! It is now one year and a half I own it and, so far, it never needed any touch up or honing, just Mastro Livi loom strop and hand palm. CRSW Bergamot & Bay today. 20 seconds: load & go with the ER brush. Great lather and scent. Personna Med Prep still in the NEW SC. Spectacular, smooth, close, nick free shave. I finished with Country Club Southern Oud.

I'm starting off 2015 with a soap I neglected in 2014, SS Silk Pajamas. I believe I used this soap twice, WOW! SSSP will be in my regular rotation. RRSS is the sports car of razors..

Couple of good things from 2014 and one not so good thing.
Triangle hole Fat Handle Tech - shaved with one several weeks ago after having only used the newer style and decided I needed a couple in my arsenal.
Gillette Black Ninja blades - if you haven't tried this blade I highly recommend it
Semogue 1305 boar - quickly becoming a favorite
Penhaligon's - huge disappointment considering the price tag. I'm assuming this is a soft water soap because try as I might the lather is merely lackluster, does a disappearing act, and tends to burn my lips if I don't shave the moustache and chin area first. A three dollar tub of Derby puts this thirty dollar puck to shame.

Happy New Year fellow TSDer's! Cool & clear morning in the central Sierra to kick off 2015, -2ºF/-19ºC @ 08:00 and a high of 32ºF/0ºC this afternoon. Lots of sun and not much of a breeze, just a beautiful day!
The Savage is a real smooth shaver and appears to be holding it's edge well, the Mitchell's is simply faultless, and the lowered SOC is just about perfect as well. All the best in 2015 folks.
