A very late morning shave for me today; up early to get in a few laps on the local ski hill before the sun & the exodus of tourists took over. Back home around 11:00, got stuck into a few chores and just managed a shave before the ol' clock tolled noon. :p

The TGN 2-band Fan is a great lil' knot when it's set low enough. I had to fiddle with it a bit but the 43.5 mm setting seems to the one. Excellent lathering with enough backbone still, and it easily holds enough lather for a 2 pass shave. The Greaves a wonderfully smooth shaver and holds a wicked edge.
Have a good un' folks...and Pray for Snow!!! :smiley respect::smiley respect:

48' Aristocrat (freshly cleaned and polished)
    Vintage Fuller brush
Mountain Sky "Olde Windsor" shaving soap
    Thayers Lavender witch hazel
    Aqua Velva Ice Blue

First time using the shave soap I found at a local health food store. Its an all natural organic cold processed soap. Using a cheese grater I shaved the bar and molded it into a mug I picked up at the local thrift store. It lathered easy and provided a smooth shave. Not bad for a $4 investment.

Im guessing it is. I got it in a vintage shaving lot on the auction site and have been using it every day since getting it.

I have only really been using synthetic brushes for a while so I thought I would give the badger/horse mix brush a run out for a change. Alas it may be seen as heresy but I'm now a convert to synthetics, the brush which was once my favourite is not likely to get used again for a long time!

I'm not going to bother detailing today's shave, it was terrible. I will say that the Treet blade that I used once, wrote about here, and said I liked pretty well ended up being one of the biggest disappoints I've had in shaving. The first shave was excellent and suprising. Th second shave with it was terrible, dicey at best. Since it was Sunday I just quit shaving on after the third bite, instead of changing the blade like I normally would. One nick and that's my fault. Two nicks and maybe there's some blame to go around. Three nicks, and it's the blade.

Mastro Livi Perugia 13.12.14, 15/16 Full Hollow, Spanish Point

I know I said this already, but I absolutely love this new Mastro Livi stainless steel, the very same he uses for the making of Grifetto. This straight razor is however special in many regards, it was made by Mastro Livi in a very limited edition and especially created for the first meet up in Perugia organized for the members of rasando.it, an Italian forum about shaving and of which have been made three exemplars only. Hence the name of the razor: "Perugia 13.12.14", as this meet up took place last 13 December 2014. Stunning shaver for an impeccable result.
