This was the 4th shave with my Gillette Slim Twist and the GSB. Continuing with the Bay Rum theme, I tried the new Stirling Bay Rum today. The GST, GSB, and Stirling got the job done. I got a great smooth, close, nick & burn free shave. I really like the new Stirling Bay Rum: great lather, great scent. I finished with Krampert’s Bay Rum. After using the Pinaud V.I. Bay rum yesterday, I appreciate the conditioning of the Krampert’s Bay Rum all the more!

Wow, five days with this blade and I can hardly tell! Another great shave today, even if it was significantly earlier then the lasts weeks shaves as I'm back to work...

Not much stubble a day after yesterday's close shave, but enough to warrant a 'light 'touch with the Futur.
This Semogue has always been one of my favorite boar brushes—the near prefect blend of stiffness and soft tips.
A great lather producer—and does a really decent job of spreading the 'non-lathering' Shea Moisture creme. A real bargain.

Repeat of yesterday's excellent shave. I'm getting accustomed to how the new razor handles and feeling more confident using it. Three passes, nice smooth result.

Caught the baby today with a 3-pass shave, after some perusal of the various shaving fora reminded me that the FaTip's relatively aggressive nature, compared to the Merkur 41c, may be best served by putting the razor's head closer to flat against my face. It was a success, though I clearly need to work on skin-stretching techniques for the XTG pass, which caught a couple minor weepers from technique issues. I went back to the AV Ice Blue today, using enough product this time to feel the cooling (though it's still less pronounced than the Lucky Tiger's menthol).

It was a good shave. The last one of the old year. Col. Conk Bay Rum SS and Semogue 1305 made a great lather for two passes leaving me near BBS. A cold water rinse followed by Thayers Cucumber WH and Pinaud Clubman left me cool and refreshed. Happy new year everyone.​

Not going to shave today, that means a nice thick canvas for the new/old clog pruf tom. morning. Im gonna go back to basics tom. morning.
1 Nice blistering hot shower.

3 Steamy hot towel on face while building lather.
4 Locally made honey w/vanilla soap.

The TSD Cool Waters Type Shave Soap is the last of the soaps that I received from Christmas. Very similar to the EDT but on the lighter side and being the typical TSD shave soap very easy to lather and wonderful to use. Looks like 7 days on this Silver Blue is all I muster for this blade. The Ikon Slant with the SB is a pretty darn good combination. Hope everyone has a wonderful New Years Eve and a healthy and prosperous 2014.
