    Hi Friends,

hope you are fine. Here is my Shave of the Day on the 3rd Advent:

Mongoose (B2) w. Jürgen Hempel Handle // Feather Professional Blade // Saponificio Varesino Felce Aromatica // Rubberset Replica w. Shavemac Silvertip // 4711

    Fantastic shave.
The Professional Blade adds more sharpness and smoothness to the Mongoose as the Feather Pro Glide Blades still does. Great!!! The rest of the equipment is absolutely top notch. All in all it was a very pleasant and enjoyable shave.

Have a nice 3rd Advent my Friends.

Stay healthy, enjoy your shaves and take care.

    Greetings
    Thorsten

    Snake Shave

I am absolutely crazy for this masterpiece. This Mastro Livi CarboInox Snake razor is not only a super shaver, but it is also an incredible work of art. The Snake Razor was conceived by Mastro Livi and his son in 2007 and this one is very special. The blade is made from Mastro Livi CarboInox with carbon damascus steel dots inserts, shaded buckeye scales with onyx and white turquoise inserts, a stunning beauty to look at, an incredible smooth shaver giving the very best BBS shave ever! Today I wanted to use Antica Barbieria Colla Almond Oil Shaving Cream, a superlative shaving cream certainly one of the very best shaving soaps around giving a super slick and effective lather with an incredible post shave sensation. A special mention to Mastro Livi Super Silvertip Badger Shave Brush, a great caressing massage on the skin which easily mounted Colla shaving cream into a luxurious lather. The final touch was delivered by Pinaud Clubman Virgin Island Bay Rum aftershave with its "bay rum like" fragrance and I admit I don't like it very much, although good, I like a more genuine and authentic "Bay Rum" fragrance.
    • Pre-Shave: RazorGuy Pre-Shave Oil
    • Soap: Antica Barbieria Colla Almond Oil Shaving Cream
    • Brush: Mastro Livi Super Silvertip Badger, Padouk Handle, 24mm knot
    • Bowl: Gerby Bowl
    • Strop: Mastro Livi Medium Loom Strop "Coramella Italiana" and Hand Palm
    • Razor: Mastro Livi CarboInox Snake, 8/8 Full Hollow, Snake Point
    • Post-Shave: Alum Block
    • Post-Shave: Umbrian Extravirgin Olive Oil
    • After Shave: Pinaud Clubman Virgin Island Bay Rum

    Today's shave
Hot water wash with a washcloth
    Semogue 620
BOMBED The Shave Den Barber Shoppe
    Clauss 5/8 full hollow spike
    Iced Lustray Coachman
    Siete Machos
    Septic pencil
Today's shave was ok. I was shaving door open, my wife dropped a belt buckle in an adjoining room. Just as I was setting the blade down, I bled the resr of my shave, by the looks of it youd of thought i cut the jugular.
I finished this bloody ordeal with iced coachman and machos.
Hope y'all did as well, without the blood.
After all said n' done, no slice, no need for stitching, not even much of a visible mark at all.

    Good morning guys!

I enjoyed a wonderful shave with my 1950's Super Speed, in spite of this old Derby blade being rather dull and ready for the garbage. Yet, it still performed a lot better than the Dorco blade I was using previously. I started a new tube of Derbylux cream from Hungary, and I was rewarded with awesome, rich lather along with its lovely scent and a good menthol effect together with great post-shave care. The Intesa aftershave balm soothed and moisturized my skin very well and gave me a nice, mild cooling effect while the Aqua Velva provided that final icy slap which felt so good! :happy088: :happy088:

    Blade: Personna Comfort Coated (1)
    Brush: VDH Badger
    Lather: Proraso Green
    Pre Shave: Hibco Nag Champa
A/S: Aqua Velva AS/Hibco nag Champa Butter Balm

Back to my Gillette Tech. (my best shaver). What a relief to be back on a razor that always performs without weepers or irritations. Two passes, WTG/ATG a little clean up, just like falling off a log. What a joy to get a solid BBS without having to work for it. An easy Sunday morning shave, hoping the same for all. God Bless.
