Razor: Merkur Futur @ 6 - although chrome in finish, the shaves it gives are worth their weight in gold
Blade: Astra SP, day 2, 3+ passes - golden in almost any razor I put it in

Who says you have to wait a full day before your shaves? Last shave was at midnight, this one at noon. I actually wound up with an even closer shave than usual somehow, but not any more irritation afterwards, although my skin was a bit sensitive during.

 

Yagli Krem is one of my favorite lather boosters! Bestshave.net is my supplier on that.

 

Oh bad discovery over the last week or so.....
So my face has been getting irritated up around my cheecks and sides along my sideburn area. Thought is was the new shower soap my wife bought. Turns out its the Williams shave soap I've been using
VHD is the other brand I've been using and looks like I'll be sticking with it until my new goodness shows up from Bullgoose. Hopefully it doesnt cause a rash like the Williams.
But now time for the good stuff:

I got mine from Bestshave as well. It is so sticky and so oily once it melts... how do you go about boosting lather with it???

 

Basically if I need a little boost, I will put just a little on the tip of the brush after picking up the soap, or mix a very small amount along side of cream and begin to lather.
This stuff is excellent when used after picking up some glycerin soap on the brush and applying a very small dab. It make glycerin based soaps much more robust in the skin conditioning department.

 

Medicare Season is coming to an end and I know I am going to take a 3 day weekend and collapse and catch up on two months of lost sleep.

I never tried the combination of the R41 and a 7 O'clock green, but it worked out great!
