    Wednesday 7 December

    Hot shower
    Proraso white soap
    Omega Boar 10015, face lather
Gillette Milord (gold) w/ Gillette 7O'Clock Super Platinum Black Day 7 or so
    Polar ice AS, Proraso ASB

A three pass DFS++ shave. A little tugging and one small weeper, probably should have replaced the blade yesterday. Still a great shave. I am really loving this set up, the proraso white is so good to my face.

DFS the BK12 maybe a lather hog but it lathers so quickly and its so soft but still with some back bone:) (so tempted to use my secret santa stuff today dont know how I stayed so strong)

    Wednesday:

Had to lather up twice. First batch of lather with Salaspina Triple Delight had my skin burning in the first pass. I guess that is another soap that I just can't use. I honestly didn't think it was likely to go well, but I had to try.

Tet-a-tet AS Balsam :love029: :love029: :smiley freezing: :smiley freezing:
    JHL Cologne

The Tet-a-tet cream is quite cooling although not as much as the matching aftershave balsam. Both of these items are so good for sensitive skin, and the cream lathers up so easily. I could not have gotten a better shave even at a barbershop. ;) :D

Pre-shave soap: Musgo Real Glyce Lime
    Razor: EJ Chatsworth
    Blade: Astra Superior Platinum
    Brush: Vulfix 2234 Super
Soap or Cream: George F. Trumper GFT Cream (sample)
A/S: Dickinson's Witch Hazel, Mr. Taylor Splash

A truly fine shave this morning. The GFT cream lathered profusely and I enjoyed the scent. When my present stash of creams starts to develop some gaps, I will be very tempted to order a Trumper cream or two. The Mr. Taylor splash (sorry, George) provided a very pleasant finish.

    Muhle R106
    Red Personna
    Penworks Finest
    Monsavon
    Proraso White ASB

The first shave in 3 days! The Monsavon was a bit watery, but that was my fault. However it wasn't terrible lather. Today I caught a strong citrus scent from the soap, I don't know if that is how it smells to the others who have it, but I like it. I was planning on only doing a quick 2-pass this morning, but everything was going so quick and smooth, so I decided to throw in a third. The result was a most welcome DFS!!

Merkur Futur; Kraut & Dohnal 9/16
    Gillette SP (4)
    Men-U Boar
    Col. Conk Lime
Booster Iced Limes & Royall Lyme

Fairly good after two passes with the Futur, but there was still some stubble left for the straight to clean up. The ultimate result was a near BBS shave in 3 passes! I used Booster Iced Limes in place of witch hazel (which I use daily, but never put in my SOTD) this morning because it doesn't last very long, but I love the scent and the effect it has on my skin. I topped that off with Royall Lyme for further conditioning and a more lasting scent.

    Gillette NEW Low Price
    Wilkinson Sword (2)
    Simpson Case
    AOS Preshave Oil
    Proraso Sensitive
    Nivea ASB
    Old Spice

Open combs are kind of a one shot deal with me for some reason. I don't use them very often, but then when I do I get great shaves from them. Following one of these great shaves I'll ask myself why I don't use these razors more often. So the next day I'll grab it again, but whatever magic it held for me yesterday is gone, and I'll usually suffer an at least sub-par shave. Todau was great. Unfortunately my only other gold razor is a NEW Red and Black set which I intent to use tomorrow. We shall see.

In other news I decided to face lather with the Case/Proraso, and the brush held enough reeeallly nice cushy lather for 4 full passes without any kind of reloading whatsoever, I was definitely a little surprised and very impressed. All in all fantastic shave.

HAD THE BEST SHAVE OF MY LIFE!!!!!!!!! WEDNESDAY DECEMBR 7,2011
Mark this day on the calander!
Well fella's I now know the true zen like feeling that most of you experience! My goodness from Bullgoose came in the mail today and when I got up this afternoon I headed straight to the bathroom.
I ordered Proraso white and RazoRock classic and a sample pack of blades. So I tried the Proraso 1st since my wife liked the smell of it better:)
OMG!!! The lather was the easist and thickest and best I've ever experienced. It was trully amazing. As soon as I began to lather it on my face I just felt this intense cooling sensation that just blew my mind.
The sample pack of razors came with feather blades so of coarse I had to try those 1st to see if they're reputation was correct. WOW! the sharpest blade I've ever put to my face. Effortless. Not 1 tug, nick, bump, burn nothing! 2 passes and I was cleaner than any other blade I've ever used. The coolest thing is any time I've ever shaved theres alway been a small amount of blood loss. I was shocked that there wasnt even a single spot after shaving with, what is rumored to be 1 of the sharpest blades.
